Anyone else think that Paul Flores played a major role in the Kristin Smart disappearance?

No doubt Flores is involved. He is not in jail because he plead the 5th Ammendment and has kept quiet. But may not be much longer, a person has put up a 100,000 reward, so some of his "friends" may talk more now.

is a good site for info on this case.

Yeah, I've seen that site before. It's such a crazy story. Kudos to the webmaster and the people behind the page for calling the Flores family out. Let's just hope that someone makes a mistake and they can be "caught" in the legal sense of the word.

During the Kristin Smart UM segment, did it name Flores as a suspect or did it hint to him as a suspect without naming him? I forget.

It's Flores. The black eye, the drunkiness, the anti social personality, the shutting up, the fact that he was the last person to see her, the anonymous witness that puts Kristin Smart in Fores's apt. Yeah I think he killed her. I really hope he goes down for it. It's time.

Don't forget the cadaver dogs that zeroed in on his dorm room, not to mention his bed...

That would seem to indicate he hid the body, then moved it to hide it better and did not change clothes before coming back to his dorm room and sitting on the corner of his bed. Yes, he is guilty all right.

He is definately guilty. Perhaps it might have even been accidental, but she died in his dorm room without a doubt. Unless somehow, a female had her period all over his bed (menstration gives a false positive), Kristin Smart was there. His parents should be ashamed of themselves. I understand not wanting your son to go to jail, but he committed a crime and needs to pay for it. Putting the Smart familiy through all they are going through is cruel.

I lean toward Flores as the main suspect myself after all I've read and watched regarding the case. However, I don't think he will ever be convicted for the crime due to lack of any real physical evidence. If it's been this long and there has been no arrest, then there normally will never be one.

My money is on the parents. From my understanding of the case, Paul was initially cooperative with the police... then all of a sudden, he clammed up and the Flores family has been uncooperative since then.

From a defense attorney perspective, I see this happening for two reasons: One, Paul's parents are rightly concerned that further cooperation would result in criminal charges and they have encouraged Paul to invoke his constitutional right to not incriminate himself. The second reason, obviously, would be that he's guilty.

So what was her connection to Scott Peterson? I could have sworn around the time of his trial for the death of Lacey and Connor, there was some talk about linking him to Kristin's disappearance. Never did find out how or if they knew each other...

Kristin Smart and Scott Peterson were students at Cal Poly at the same time. Once Scott became a "person of interest" in Laci's disappearance, they investigated the possibility that Scott was involved in her disappearance as well. He is not a suspect any more.
