Default Did anyone ever explain why the character of Judy

was dropped from the show? I know they didn't explain it within the show itself, but I wonder why the producers deceided to drop her.

I think it was because they had run out of things to do for the character.

the actress that played Judy appeared on Oprah and stated that there was no direction or need for the character and she was abruptly removed. Which in turn caused her to turn to porn, for a little while anyways.

I can't really think of an episode that revolved around Judy once Urkel became the star.

The producers "chose not to develop her character" so actually, they decided to pretend she didn't even exist. In one episode where Steve Urkell goes back in time to try to make the Winslows rich, Harriet informs him that because they had so much money, they chose not to have children. Steve says something like "you mean no Eddie and Laura?" he doesn't even mention the third child.

LOL. It's so sad, really.

I would have preferred if she stayed and they wrote out Richie, along with Rachel.

i read that they didnt want to develop her character and her parents kept askin for more money.

they said on one episode that she walked up stairs and never came back and wasnt even mention. they didnt even say something like she went to boot camp or she died. she was just like she never existed. i thought that was wrong. and it was a horrible experience for her as a child.

her parents obviously had problems. they were bankrupt and they used all the money that jaimee made to get them out of bankruptcy so she had nothing to fall back on so she went into pron to make some money. that was wrong how the money she made had to be used to help her parents. they shouldna took all her money.

does anybody kno the name of the episode that she walked up stairs and never came back?

She never actually went upstairs in her last episode, she did in her second to last episode though. Her final apperance was in "Mama's Wedding". She was stiil mentioned for the rest of the season though.

It was weird in the later seasons when Carl and Harriette would say "we have two wonderful children". Like Judy never even existed.

Well in the world of the show, after season 4, Judy didn't exist.
