New Beginnings

This new spin-off sitcom, starring Vince Vaughn and Leah Remini as the happily married Andy and Lydia Duerschmidt; and how they left San Francisco in search of a new beginning. They left town, due to San Francisco not being the best of towns to raise a family. YES, Lydia is indeed pregnant, she's now ten weeks pregnant. Andy and Lydia now live in Seattle, Washington, where Lydia has relocated as a registered nurse at a Seattle/Tacoma hospital. Andy is currently unemployed, yet desperately looking. Andy and Lydia's new next-door neighbors and best friends are Kevin and Tina Geller (George Clooney, Virginia Madsen);who have a nine-year-old son, Jace (Trevor Gagnon). Across the street from the Duerschmidts and Gellers lives Tina's single friend, Sarah Townsend (Madchen Amick), who also befriends Lydia and Andy. Andy and Lydia soon learn about their neighbors: Kevin's a plastic surgeon, Tina's a real estate agent (who sold them their house), Jace is an average third-grader, and Sarah's a travel agent.

Ep1: PIlot Episode:
Andy and Lydia move into their new house in Seattle. Andy continues his job-hunting as Lydia gets settled in at the new hospital. Meanwhile, Kevin and Tina invite the Duerschmidts and fellow neighbor-Sara over for a dinner party. Sara ends up bringing a date (David Duchvony) who happens to be very defensive throughout dinner. Andy and Kevin hit it off great. Tina and Sara fill Lydia in on the latest neighborhood gossip.

Ep2: Hospital's New Surgeon:
The hospital that Lydia works at, has hired a new plastic surgeon-who happens to be Kevin. Lydia and Kevin bump into each other in the break room, not until then did they realize they worked for same hospital. Meanwhile, Sara is reluctant to let her boss's cheating husband use his wife's employee discount (without her boss knowing) as he plans to go to Hawaii with his secretary/mistress for a "business conference".

Ep3: Babysitting With Alcohol:
The hospital is having their 33rd anniversary party. Kevin and Lydia (along with Tina and Andy) attend the party, which means the Gellers need to find Jace a sitter. They ask Sara to watch him, after Sara's Saturday night plans get cancelled. Sara ends up watching Jace, but ends up getting depressed and starts to raid the Gellers' liquor cabinet.
