With the success Leah Remini has enjoyed on the KoQ, one would think a studio might be tempted to release all 28 episodes in a season 1 and 2 package. With Leah and Sharon Lawrence in the cast, babe appeal alone would make some sales. Plus, the show has some legitimate laughs.
This is one of those shows that if a few subtle cast changes had been made, and the writing was pumped up a bit, the show could easily have been a hit. I think many KoQ's fans if they ever got a chance to see the show would enjoy it. Hopefully, the studio who owns it feels that way too. |

You're right!! I bet many Leah/KoQ fans would jump at the chance to see this show. I've heard nothing but good about it, and I wanna see it!!
I'm sure the sales would do fairly well. With Leah's success, you really would think they'd release it. "Joey" was released and that was short lived. Only difference is "Joey" was after Matt LeBlanc's biggest hit, "Fired Up" was before Leah's gem of a show. I see no reason not to release it!Maybe we start letting them know we want it. |

I believe the producers and Kevin started and ended at Leah. I don't think anyone else was even considered for the role.
Can anyone think of anybody else who could have played Carrie? I'm drawing a blank right now. Remember, it has to be someone that was not already in a series at the time. |

And I believe you're right about them only wanting Leah. She didn't want to take the part 'cause 'Fired Up' had just been canned, but David Weithorn begged her to meet Kevin, isn't that the story?
I heard Megan Mullally auditioned, but then decided to play "Karen" on Will and Grace. I don't know how true that was, but either way, I could not see her as "Carrie". I can't think of anyone else as Carrie either. Doesn't Kevin say on the season 1 DVD something like, "At the table reading I noticed not only how pretty she was, but how funny she was", implying several actresses were there? damn, I wish he mentioned names. lol |

Yes, I totally forgot about Megan Mullally!
I can't see it now, but maybe we would be thinking differently if Megan would have been Carrie. Aw, who am I kiddin'. She would have sucked.

Arthur:"Why is this even a discussion? Nobody else could've been Carrie!"
yes, she would've sucked--could you see her threatening the "Mold guys" (or anyone else) as good as Leah does? Hell no!!

![]() With 'Fired Up' being cancelled, 'Seinfeld' ending, Kevin leaving NBC, and all of the other circumstances surrounding the creation of KoQ, it seems like a perfect example of fate!!

One of Leah's quotes from "Fired Up":
Terry: [to Gwen] I'm gonna kill you! And if your Prince Charming ever comes and kisses you gently on the lips and wakes you up, I'm gonna kill ya again! Sounds like classic Leah to me!if you haven't read them already, to anyone interested, here's more quotes. Leah played "Terry" Memorable 'fired up' Quotes |

It seems strange that theirs any hesitation to release shows like Fired Up on DVD. How much risk could there really be to the studio releasing it? Even if it doesn't sell like the proverbial hot cakes right at the start, wouldn't all the the DVD's that would be pressed initially eventually sell at some point?
DVD's popularity are growing. Leah's face will be in reruns and on KoQ's DVD's for a long time. Wouldn't current and future fans want to see another significant work in her career? Even if the the DVD sold at a snails pace, wouldn't places like Amazon, Buy.com and others still keep the DVD on their warehouse shelves? It seems like the studio at some point would at least get their money back. |
