Personally I enjoy the H1, H2 and H20 little trilogy. I feel that those three movies really go together, and that Halloween 4, 5 and 6 go together. I say that because in H20, nothing from the previous three is even mentioned at all and they pretty much act as if Michael has been missing for 20 years, so you may as well just pretend it's taking off after the events in Halloween 2.

Halloween 3, I have no desire to ever see again.

Halloween 1 and 2 will always be classics to me. I love those movies. Every time they air on Halloween, I have to watch them (same with the Simpsons' Halloween specials).

Well hopefully Rob Zombie will do justice on Halloween 9, I'v seen his movies like The Devil Rejects nothing but, murders, blood, and the f word, the Halloween movies really are not that way, mabe the 3rd one which was not a Halloween spinoff from the first place, I really wonder why they even made it, it would be like Friday The 13th, part 3 if Jason was not even in it,but he was not in thefirst one either,so I geuss it make sense lol (I think) Rob Zombie will take over for the guy who got killed in a bomb in Iraq, hopefully he will do his best when this is going to be the last Halloween movie, Mabe Jamie Lee -Curtis will make a special geust or a dream sequnce. OCT 27TH,2007 counting down the days till it comes out Halloween 9....

Basically it's time to just have an original idea.

Even if it sucks (I mean a whole new different horror movie), at least they tried.

The Halloween thing was over with number 2 (though 3 is a weird ass enigma).

There is no duplicating the original absolute terror of Halloween.

So it's all just a cash in proposition, no respect for what Halloween was.

Well Rob Zombie isn't technically making "Halloween 9", but something different altogether. He's reimagining the original Halloween; I guess it will essentially be the same story, but with his own touch and spin on things (not a direct remake), to try and freshen up the series. I think he'll probably do good things with it, but when you're redoing a classic like Halloween, there are ALWAYS going to be fans who are displeased.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Rob will do with it. I love House of 1,000 Corpses/DR, and I think he'll do it justice.

I agree. Although it's a classic, I feel that he has the right kind of touch to really do something with it, and if there's going to be a new version of the movie, then I'm glad he's the person doing it.

I like the first Halloween but after that I think they got pretty silly. I think the third one especially was awfully stupid. It didn't even have anything to do with the franchise. Michael Meyers wasn't in it. Dr. Loomis wasn't in it. It was about people turning into bugs. And I thought the scene where the little boy turns into the bugs was really in bad taste.

A little mistake on the poll, bud. Halloween 7 is H20, Halloween 8 is Resurrection.

While I'm not that big a fan of H20, I think it dances circles around that atrocious Resurrection installment. It makes me want to weep to think that's how the original series is going end. Anyway, in my mind, H20 was the finale. Laurie finished it once and for all.

As for the poll, Halloween > Halloween II > Halloween 4: Return of Michael Myers

Halloween is just classic, I loved the hospital setting in Halloween II and I thought Halloween 4 had great atmosphere - great colors and moods.

I definitely agree with you on that point. Resurrection is okay once in a while for something different, but as far as I'm concerned, I like to think of H2O as the end of the series. I thought the end of that movie nicely wrapped things up and finally put a finish to things, and I liked how Laurie got that finality of it all.

I hated in Resurrection how they created that lame ass excuse as to why Michael wasn't actually dead, and then they went and killed Laurie to top it off.
