Job-lol Willona came home saying she was promoted to "Head Buyer" and Penny said _"Momma what's a Buyer? Willona never answered Penny's question so like Penny I would like to know what the hell a buyer is?-lol

Yeah, "buyer" is retail lingo. All stores have buyers, if you never worked in retail, you probably never would have heard of it.

I think in "Living Single" Kim Fields also played a buyer for a boutique. I always wondered did they get that idea off of Good Times.

A Buyer is an actual name for a profession. The same as a plumber, doctor, waitress. It's not slang. It's an actual profession. As I said, one of my closest friends is a Buyer.
