Default What was up with the MICHAEL EVANS character trying to act so COOL in season 6???

How do you go from Nerd to Cool in just one season? If you watching him in season 6, everything that he says comes out in a way to let everyone know that he is HIP and he even tried to stroll in one season 6 episode. If you asked me, he looked less stupid when he wasn't trying to be cool in the previous seasons-lol

He matured and was in college, when you're entering into adulthood, it really looks stupid when a 18/19 yr old acting like a 12/13 yr old. Gotta growup at some point. Plus he looked better with the low cut fro.

What I didn't like was those old man sweaters they had Ralph in. What was with those sweaters with patches on the elbows and zipped up to his neck?

I was talking about trying to be COOL. I didn't say anything about acting immature. I was just saying him trying to act like he was HIP was unnecessary

I think people start having confidence in themselves at different times. It seems like he suddenly had confidence and goes through a stage where he tries to act cool. I remember doing that, lol.

But James was cool, and didn't act like Michael, he was just naturally cool. That's how it should be

we never saw James as a child, only as an adult.

Was there a particular episode were he was trying to be cool that set you off?

let me give my opinion on when Michael trying to act cool irritated me. When he was trying to impress that no so pretty girl that he was afraid to talk to, he pretended toooo hard to be cool. That was stupid.

My point is, people grow and when you grow and mature some start to act differently. Especially boys/men who have many gf's, then they start to think that they are the sh*t

The first three seasons of the show Michael was a genius and quite brainy. But in the last three seasons there was less emphais on his intelligence and more on him trying to be cool and a womanizer. Trying too hard to be like J.J. The transformation in Michael was too extreme.

Default Michael trying to be "J.J. II"

I was like "Oh Lord", another J.J. in the house!

That was an eye-opener for J.J. in the Season 5 Episode "No More Mr. Nice Guy". J.J. was never a good example for Michael and this episode pointed it out so well. I can see why J.J. acted the way he did, albeit insane and power crazy in his "Michael surveillance Check". But it also got Michael to wise up a bit. As least until Florida returned to take control.
