I watched this episode the other night for the first time and it scared the bejeezus out of me. This was by far one of the most disturbing UM segments I have ever seen. The horror that this poor woman felt for hours and then what finally happened to her made me sick to my stomach. I looked back and couldn't find a thread on this case.

The one entitled "Debby" about the anonymous woman who was kidnapped in broad daylight in Winston-Salem, NC. She was then forced to drive to Fayetteville, NC (a four hour drive) and was sexually assaulted in the woods adjacent to the interstate. Then, her attacker shot her in the face and left her for dead.

It has been discussed on the board before a few times but I couldn't find a thread just about it. Its not that well known (except for people who have my dvds) as it was only on NBC, not Lifetime. I agree it is by far one of the most disturbing UM cases. Where they had the man chasing her through the woods and they distorted his voice as he was saying "you ain't going nowhere"! I would love to know if they've made an arrest too but its going to be very hard to find out since they didn't use Debby's real name and of course didn't have a name for the suspect.

Perhaps the victim might come forward afterwards if the case ever got solved, but then again, how would the public know that? Maybe the state (I forgot the scene of the crime) has some sort of database -but failing
that, it is almost impossible to get an answer on this one. |
