characters missing episodes - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The thing I dislike most about the last couple of seasons is that there are very very few episodes with all the characters in them. Granted the cast (esp in season 7) was now rather large but they got too far away from the core family members. There is even a show in season 7 in which Cliff and Olivia are the only regulars shown. Other than the finale the only year 8 show I can think of that had everyone in it is the one with Miriam McKeeba (Martin makes his last appearance in that show as well).

I am trying to remember if there are any episodes in the first 2 seasons in which a regular doesn't appear. I don't think so (except for Sandra whose appearances were always here and there, I actually think Elvin may have been in more shows than she was). The regulars only begin missing shows in year 3 (Clair when Phylicia Rashad was pregnant and Denise is only in a handful), but Theo, Rudy and Vanessa seemed to be in every show through at least season 5.

Which is why I'm only buying up to season 5 on DVD-lol
