Default Kyle XY on ABC Family Mondays and ABC Fridays this Summer!

From ABC:

ABC will air repeats of a new show from ABC Family called “Kyle XY.” In order to help strengthen their Friday night line-up, “Kyle XY” will be scheduled in the 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT time period.

ABC Family will premiere the series on Monday, 6/26 and ABC will follow on Friday, 6/30. ABC plans to air four (4) episodes based on this schedule and will re-evaluate thereafter.

Similar to their earlier arrangement with USA for Monk, this scheduling arrangement will give ABC more fresh scripted programming in addition to the new reality programming premiering this summer.

Additional information on “Kyle XY” is noted below.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The series tells the surprising journey of Kyle (Dallas), a 16 year-old teenage savant who is missing instinctive human behavior such as anger, joy and love, and the family who found him. After coming out of the woods and found walking into traffic, Kyle is sent to a youth detention center where he comes into contact with his first experience of eating food and human interaction: not all of it friendly. At the center they realize that Kyle is not like any ordinary teenager, especially once they find that he is missing his belly-button. With questions of “Who is this kid?” and “Where did he come from?” psychologist Nicole Trager (MacIntyre) is called in to help get some much needed answers.

After a couple of hours with Kyle, Nicole realizes that he can not survive in the institution and needs special attention, so she decides to bring him home to keep a closer eye on him. The rest of the Trager family is not as welcoming of Kyle, seeing him as just another one of Nicole’s special projects. Her husband Stephen (Thomas) doesn’t want his wife to get too attached to Kyle, while her teenage daughter Lori (Matson) and son Josh (Bilodeau) see him as a freak that can only hamper their social lives.

Soon the family starts to see that Kyle has some unique abilities and an uncanny way of completing two hour IQ tests in 5 minutes with perfect scores. He encounters everyday activities such as video games, drawing and music with a wide-eyed wonder and a thirst for more knowledge. He also starts to grow fond of the Trager family and even rescues Lori from a high school party that gets dangerously out of hand.

As he settles in with the Trager family the question still remains, who is Kyle? What are his secrets, secrets that even he doesn’t understand? Why doesn’t he have a belly button? Why can’t he remember anything from his past? Is he suffering from some sort of post-traumatic stress? If not, is he suffering from amnesia? And who is the suspicious looking man following him?

I liked it and can't wait for the second season but the season finale was stupid.First of all,he didn't get Amanda who he has had the hots for ever since he met but never told how he feels about her. Also,he was just a science experiment?

I hope they get together this season too, they are really cute together...and her bf sucks. Also I hope that Kyle gets to go back and live with the Tragers, they're such a nice family for him. I can't wait for the June 11 season 2 premiere! i've been watching all the reruns of season 1 so i can be prepared
