Default Anyone else think this statement by Beverly Lasalle was funny?

In the ep-"Archie the Hero" when Beverly Lasalle told Archie-"Mr. Bunker, I'm No lady" This ep comes on Tonight at 11pm. I laugh everytime I hear that statement-lol

Cool

LOVED that character - absolutely adored him/her!

As embarrassing as it is to admit, I STILL tear up when they air the ep where he's murdered.

When Beverly took off the wig, i loved the explosion in the studio audience after he did it, I think that was the only time the audience exploded like that on all in the family. Some guy in the audience was really going wild, u could hear it-lol

I think possibly the only other time was when Sammy Davis smooched Arch before he left. I think it got the longest laugh of the series. Beverly was a very close second though!

I love the ep where Archie wants to play the joke on Pinky and set him up with Beverly.

I love this episode!!!! It just cracks me up EVERYTIME!!!

When Beverly tells Edith he's a transvestite, and Edith says: "Oh, you sure fooled me! You don't even have an accent"

This whole episode is just classic!!!

THE CHARACTER WAS MURDERED?? I never knew that! So THAT'S what happened to her/him. All these years; I thought she/he was just anothe character that dissapeared and they never mentioned them again, like Frank & Irene, Pinky, Munson, Kelsey & Harry.

How'd she/he get murdered? What were the details?

She/he got murdered on one of the Christmas shows. He was walking with Mike and they got mugged. I remember when I first saw it back in the 70's. That was a powerful episode because Edith lost her faith in God for awhile.
