Fox will also release season four of Bob Newhart on September 19th for 29.98 SRP. The fore mentioned Concert will retail for 19.98.

Count your blessings we got any bonus material at all (see MARY TYLER MOORE), and besides, we get commentaries from people who have never participated in them yet. Let's give the other people a chance, especially Suzanne Pleshette. And bloopers! Knowing Bob Newhart (the person), I'm sure they're outrageously funny.

Probably because he lives in Albuquerque, NM, now, and they can't afford to fly him to LA to do the commentaries.

no matter, as long as we've got the episodes uncut, SOME extras and some indication that future seasons are still coming, then I am happy

I guessed that about Albuquerque, and I know he's not in a position to fly himself in and out of LA all the time. He hasn't done any for TBNS yet. He did the first season DVDs for IDOJ - and I think they went to Palm Springs to get Sidney on there, too. I like the idea of the phone interview - but maybe Bob thinks that steals his "thing" (grin).

Yeah, I know there's been a shortage of extras on the MTM DVD's. We aren't getting any extras on the 2nd season IDOJ DVD's, either. Yes, I'd love to hear from Suzanne and Peter on these, since we've heard from Bob, Jack and Marcia on the others.

Bill's son lives in the LA area (and still works in the busn, as far as I know).

i dont like the cover art as much this time - mostly just because it is different than the style of the earlier seasons

You're right, the cover art is kinda....corny. But after the first glance or two, I wouldn't be looking at the cover art anyway - I'd be looking at the contents of the DVDs!

Did anyone else here get confused this morning? First it was announced, TBNS S. 4 on 9/19, then it was moved back to the 5th - and now, today, I got an announcement, it's back to the 19th! (Which means I go broke on the 19th buying his book and both DVD's?????!)

Season 4, I think, is the best season of BNS. From the introduction of The Peeper (RIP Mr. Poston) to moo goo goo goo, the laughs kept on coming!

I too wonder why Bill Daily hasn't done any commentaries. We've had all 4 of the other main cast members plus Jack Riley, Tom Poston and Fred Willard on the commentaries. I always found this odd especially since Mr. Daily did commentaries for IDOJ. Let's hope they rectify this situation for the Season 5 release!!

So far there are no plans to release season 5 at all. We have to pray that Fox will take pity on us TBNS fans, OR that more TBNS fans will ante up to purchase the first four seasons.

I've done my share. I've bought Seasons 2, 3 and 4!! They only have 2 seasons left. Come on Fox, show us some love!!
