Default Do you like this show more or less now as an adult?

Sadly, I can say I like this show a bit less. There are quite a few shows that I like more now that I can fully grasp their full scope as an adult, though this isn't one of them. The good episodes of the Brady Bunch seem to hold up quite well and I enjoy them, though the bad ones are simply painful to watch and there doesn't seem to be much middle ground for this show. In some ways it's good though because you can just avoid the clunkers like (IMO) The Snow White episode and those of that "fantastic" ilk and then watch the classics over and over like Bobby the Safety Monitor

more because i can enjoy it on a different level than when i was a kid as a kid i like many people liked the show mostly because of the kids now as an adult i can see how corny and campy some of the dialouge is and its almost like a camp classic and some how that aspect makes it alot of fun for me to watch

I can respect your point, but sadly, I don't really see the depth to this show that would allow it to be "more enjoyable" as an adult. I think the main reason it succeeded more in reruns is it reached the right audience: children. As an adult I like to watch it for nostalgic reasons but I can't say I enjoy it more. However there are shows in which the writing and humor reaches beyond children, this just doesn't seem to be one of them. Still, the Brady Bunch is the PERFECT show for the young and the young at heart.

Well, the Brady Bunch is another of those corny shows like Gilligan's Island and the Dukes of Hazzard that I loved as a kid, but as an adult I appreciate more sophisticated fare. While the Brady Bunch did have its nice family moments, the scripts were mostly corny and/or predictable. Plus the humor wasn't very funny. I will always have a nostalgic place for shows like this, but it lacks the sophistication that mature adults prefer.

I'm pretty sure most adults who used to watch the show as kids like it a little less now & I'm one of them. This is one of those shows I'll always like & I've watched every episode a million times, but these days, I'll pretty much only watch it if there's nothing else on tv. It is corny & predictable, I mean the things they thought were hilarious back then sure isn't now!
