Why was Bentley given a Birthday Party by the Jeffersons and they only knew him for a - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

couple of months?-lol This was the first episode of season 2 and they went out of their way to give Bentley this HUGE party when everyone was nicely dressed, WHY???-lol Then at the end of the episode Tom say to Bentley, next year we are going to give you a bigger party. Why was Bentley recieving all this special treatment?-lol

It was so strange, in season 1 they really had no relationship but given him a HUGE PARTY and GIFTS!-lol

I guess Mr. Bentley was such a likeable guy. Since it was season 2, I'll let it pass. If it was season 1, you would have a point. lol
