Default Kym Karath (Kerry Hathaway) should have appeared in more episodes of the Brady Bunch

In watching the Brady Bunch, I've seen many minor but unforgettable characters making guest appearances in the series, but my favorite character is the lovely and beautiful Kerry Hathaway as portrayed by the lovely and beautiful Kym Karath. Kerry was a new friend of Jan's from school, and Peter had a very big crush on her. He wanted to do anything to be with her, including doing a Cyrano de Bergerac routine with Greg helping him.

When I was a teenager watching the Brady Bunch, I couldn't resist looking at Kerry/Kim because she was so gorgeous. She was 14 years old at the time that episode was originally transmitted, but she had such a beautiful face and a sexy build. Kim's build was even sexier than Eve Plumb's (Jan Brady) at that time. I wished Kerry Hathaway would appear in more episodes of the Brady Bunch in both the fourth and fifth seasons.

When I was in school long ago, I met a beautiful blonde girl who resembled Kerry Hathaway on the show. Coincidentally, her name also happened to be Kerry but with a different last name. She was even flattered when I told her she looked like Kerry on the Brady Bunch. The Kerry I knew was very sweet and beautiful and had such a sexy build. She was 14, but she was build like she was 16 or 17 (SIGH!) I miss her so much, and I wish I could see her again. Who knows?

What do you think about Kerry Hathaway?

I hear ya.
I had the same reaction to the girl that Marcia ''made beautiful'' and then wasn't going to be escorted by that astronaught. That overbite still drives me wild...

I liked Aunt Jenny. I thought she was pretty cool myself.

It is odd how great so many of the Bradys guests were that only were seen ONE time and yet were so unforgettable. Buddy Hinton? And who can forget the little boys face who Bobby paid a Kennedy Half Dollar too to like Cindy? (I Just saw this young actor on That Girl)
Which others do you guys/gals remember?

And in a odd bit of trivia, both Kym Karath and Nicholas Hammond (The Subject was Noses) appeared together as two of the von Trapp children in "The Sound Of Music." Small world.

Tommy Jamison, the boy Bobby hired to be Cindy's secret admirer, was played by Eric Shea, who appeared in a number of sitcom episodes and Disney TV shows. He also appeared as a teenager in several episodes of "Little House on the Prairie" (he was the object of both Laura and Nellie's affection). Eric's brothers, Chris and Stephen, played Linus in the early Peanuts specials. Although Eric himself never played Linus, if you listen closely, he sounds quite a bit like the Linus from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (where Chris originated the role).

Kerry Hathaway was great. Plus, I like the name Kerry in it's various spellings.

The kid who took the Kennedy Half Dollar to be Cindy's admirer, I remember seeing in Disney movies about "Whiz Kids." He played a boy genius who was always inventing things.

You are exactly right... she was the most beautiful girl ever to appear on the Brady Bunch, by far!

Kym appeared in a 4th season episode... can you imagine if Jan would still have been friends with her during the FIFTH season?? OMG, 5th Season Jan and Kerry, one one TV screen?

Kym is still a beauty today, as you'll see.

I've seen her in a few things (all of which were pre-Brady Bunch). She was in an episode of "Lost In Space" during the first season. She played a princess that Will Robinson awakened with a kiss... she played the role very well, she was probably 6 years old or so. She was adorable in that episode... I'm guessing her connections with Angela Cartwright (Penny Robinson) may have had a part in leading to that role. This episode was made after the Sound of Music was filmed.

She also played Doris Day's daughter in "The Thrill of It All"... and she was just too cute in that one as well. That was made in '63, and it also had Brian Nash (later of Please Don't Eat The Daisies TV Show fame) as her brother.

But yeah, "Cyrano de Brady" is probably my favorite Brady Bunch episode, entirely because of Kym's appearance. It's literally impossible for me to look at anything else when she's in a scene. She was hot!

I have not seen her in anything else since then, other than a Sound of Music reunion show.

If you go to:

http://www.angela-cartwright.com/soundof.htm

this will show a picture of the Sound of Music Movie's von Trapp kids...I think the pic was taken sometime last year... it will also give you updates as to what they're all doing today. Kym is apparently "resuming her acting career" according to Angela.

Well, heck, I'll see if I can post that pic here:

Looks like it worked... Angela is in the front row on the left, and I guess Kym is pretty easy to spot.

btw, if I was Greg, and Pete was mad at me because Kerry liked me better than him, I would have said, sorry Charlie, this one's MINE!!
