Default What Chuck said in an interview

Almost everytime when norris does an interview he is asked this question because he was good friends with bruce lee, they ask him if he could have beat bruce lee in a match, and he always answers without too much enthusiasm that he could have beat bruce in a match.

This always makes me laugh because norris is a very good martial artsman, but bruce lee was way beyond very good he was great and much faster than norris as well so the truth is I dont think chuck could have beat bruce lee in a match, and I think deep inside chuck knows this too, but how else is he going to answer a question like that. and besides bruce lee is no longer here to respond to his statement otherwise I think chuck wouldnt say he could win that match.

We'll never know for sure.
But remember that Chuck was a 6-time karate champ who retired undefeated. He had a very good 65-5 fighting record, his loses occurring early in his fighting career. And he is an 8th degree black belt.
When Bruce asked Chuck to be in his movie for a fight scene, Chuck asked, "Is that the only way you can beat me?"

It was also Chuck who taught Bruce how to deliver high kicks with his feet.

Well, chuck didnt develope his own style like bruce did, chuck may have retired undefeated, but bruce died undefeated, atleast by a man also look at the fighting scenes in chucks movies and bruces movies, I know bruce was the fight coordinater in his movies and you can see how much faster bruce was than chuck, and if chuck realy did say that to bruce then he is lucky bruce didnt take it persoanlly, otherwise he may not have been in any shape to do the movie with bruce.
