Post What are 5 to 10 episodes that truly define the series or must include moments?

We are in the process of producing the 75th anniversary of NBC. Could you or your fans recomend between 5 to 10 top episodes of that truly define the series or suggest a few "must include" moments. I would also like to know where I could get copies of these shows to screen.
Thank you for your help.

wow, its been a while... I'll ramble off my episode requests in a moment. As for the taped copies I'm not 100% sure where you can find them. It has been a goal of ours (Hogan list members) to find copies and I have been unsuccessful as well as other list members. However if you find someone willing could you please let me know? I'm trying to get material for my homepage, and taped episodes are SO hard to find.

Ok now the episodes. 1) I guess everyone would agree that the fire episode was huge, and was pretty emotional. 2) I don't remember the episode but the one with Sandy on the floor waxer/cleaner thing was halarious to me. 3) The episode where David does the documentary on Rich

That's all I can come up with. I hope others will have a better memory and access to the show so they can come up with some better episodes.

Good choices, Danielle!

Here's another to add to the list. 'Bad Timing' where it's said that this was the first show to mention the word 'condom'. Good episode where again, the Hogan's teach another good lesson to the viewers.

How about the show where Willie wrecks the car? That show was one of the few times where the writing actually matched up to the brilliant acting. I think it has to be one of Danny Ponce's finest moments on TV anywhere. First you're disgusted with the weasel for letting Dave take the blame for the car, then the next you're feeling sorry for him when Valerie is going off on him. Really superb.

It was like an instance where, for a few minutes, the show wasn't a show but real life. I think it stands out as one of the best episodes of the entire series. Even now, as a 28 year old, I can appreciate every aspect of it, whereas some of the other shows (yes, even some during the VALERIE era) that once appealed to me as a kid seem a little contrived and somewhat silly. It's crap and you know it's crap, but you love it anyway...

Anyway, that's my vote!

And if you need clips of this episode, I do have the show taped from PAX television (edited of course) as well as the promo photo of the show on my HOGAN FAMILY webpage. http://www.angelfire.com/music2/ejsnet/hogangal.html

Only a week more before the ultra-talented and sexy Jason comes back to television. I can't wait!!!

That was a good episode--it never had a happy ending like most of the other episodes. Good choice!

Obviously, I'd agree with Bad Timing as a "crucial" ep. cause of Valerie Breiman, her relationship with Jason Bateman/David, subject matter etc. The other one I've said is the one where David brags about how far he went with the girl and it winds up on the school's p.a. system, must find out the title. Plus one I always remember is the one where David "borrows" his father's pilot uniform, good ep. for Mr. Hogan and shows how seriously he takes his job...though I would've hoped David was capable of acting more mature by that point...
