Oh No Black Sheep

Anyone have a family member that you wonder how they are even a part of your family? Like, they really belong to someone else because they don't act like anyone else.

example....my cousin. Some of her behavior has to do with the fact that she comes from a not-so-happy home and her dad spoils the crap out of her. But nevertheless...she's a huge brat. I guess she recently got her tounge pierced behind my aunt and uncle's back, which resulted in her getting her car taken away (it's really my uncle's car...not like she pays for anything dealing with it. She refuses to get a job; she'd rather bum money off everyone else every single day, including my grandma, who is 77 and still working retail because she needs the money. Yeah, let's just make grandma even poorer! pissed: She's dumb as an empty box and she's dating this dude who I guess looks like a fat sheepdog who is just as dumb as she is. But \m/, he's in a band and is gonna maybe go to CC. (not that there's anything wrong with community colleges, it's just sad when that's about the only option you have because your grades suck too much to get into anywhere else). She decided she wants to graduate early (she'll be a senior next year) so she can go to CC with her boi. Yeah...I see success written all over that.

Lemme just put it this way: I come from a family (we're speaking strictly my dad's side here) who is actually very intelligent, hard working (well, my uncle was a little questionable there for awhile, but he has had a good factory job for a few years now and is making decent money despite a lot of it ending up in a casino...), honest people. My other uncle (the cousin in question's dad) went back to school lately and he's been getting A's while pulling a full-time job. His wife is a teacher. And his daughter can't even get C's despite the fact that she has absolutely nothing else to do. And then she constantly pulls **** like getting a tongue piercing, lying to her parents about where she's going, etc... She and I are sooooooooooo different. I'm not saying we should be alike, but based on all this other stuff...where the hell did she come from? No wonder my uncle has less and grayer hair than his older brother.

So, tell your stories!

I'm happy to say that there are no black sheep in my family. Well, unless you count me, of course.

My cousin's wife is one weird woman and no one in my family really likes her and I don't know what my cousin ever saw in her, she's not likable at all.

everyone who's lived in my household has ended up hating my dad, including my mom and stepmom.

Sad to say, but I'm the blacksheep in my family. My other family members even talk about me behind my back. When I graduate college I will be the first one in my family to do so. Most of them think I can't make it though, even my mom and dad. They've also told me that since I haven't dated much, I'll marry the first guy that pays attention to me, have kids, get a divorce and be asking for their help supporting me and my kids.

What kind of family support is that?

My Uncle Bob(my dad's brother), can be considered our black sheep.

He's been married 5 times. When he was married to his 4th wife, Sally, our paternal grandmother died. Sally had a daughter named Lisa. Grandmom left some jewelry to me, my sister & our other 2 female cousins, Patty & Tracy. Bob felt that Lisa should've been a part of this "inheritance", even though she wasn't a blood relative. That hit a sore spot with my family.

Then there was talk that he made a few suggestive comments to Patty & Tracy at one time, and one of the things he said is about how attractive they were and also said "if you weren't my nieces...." YUCK!!!

Then when my Uncle Walt died(my dad's other brother), Bob showed up and at the reception he came up to me & my sister with a woman and he says "this is your Aunt Sylvia". This was his 5th wife!! She is not my aunt!! But I stayed civil towards him although I still keep it in the back of my mind the way he is.

I really feel I am the black sheep of the family. I like doing things my way, and I don't always agree with family members which can piss them off easily. I try and hold back by not saying stuff that I don't agree with them over, but then that will bring resentment, so I steer clear from it. I only like to spend time with family members sometimes and not all the time. I don't know how else to explain it, but I feel I don't fit it many times.

My oldest cousin, who is 42.

- He should have graduated from HS in 1982, but he dropped out of HS in 1980/81.
- He's never been married. He's had countless girlfriends. He got one of his girlfriends pregnant in 1992, and has a son as a result.
- I -think- he's an alcoholic. Not sure. I don't see him often...Last time I saw him was in May of 2005, even though he lives around here.
- He gets himself into countless bar brawls and has quite the jail record.
- Last time I saw him, he brought another one of his girlfriends along. OMG...she was the SKANKIEST thing ever. I think she was around 22/23 (keep in mind, he was 41 at the time...Ewwwww) and had NO TITS. Seriously...Not even TINY MOUNDS. Flat as a ****ing washboard. To top it off, I swear she was high the whole time we were both at the get-together. I don't even WANT to think about them. DISGUSTING.

He just never grew up after he dropped out of high school in the early 1980s. He's a 16-year-old guy trapped in a 42-year-old guy's body.

my cousin, who is 24 i think? when she was about 16, she got pregnant and had a son, and her mother (my aunt/uncle's wife) took care of her son for her while she continued going to school. she had her son due to pre-marital sex, and her boyfriend ended up in jail for taking drugs, and i've never met him either. she's always been one of my favorite cousins but we all were disappointed in her for what happened.

Allison (sorry to bug you again), but do you plan on responding to my pm? if not, i understand.
