are ALONE!-lol My little brother went with his girlfriend to job search and fill out applications and I told him no one gets hired when they are with someone else. I did the same dumb thing and me and my friend was told-WE HAVE NO OPENINGS. So make sure you are alone when looking for summer jobs

I got a job about two weeks ago and I went alone.

there were a ton of openings but one of my friends applied about an hour after I did and he got the job too.

Definitely! When I used to do interviews at my previous job, and someone would bring a friend/girlfriend, that was just a signal to me that they would have people always coming in to visit them at work! Or that they weren't capable of doing something by themselves. Not very desirable people to employ, lol.
