Default Name something your best friend did.....

.....that was so special that you can really consider them your best friend.

When I was in grade school, I was about to get jumped by some other dudes in my class after school. I was kind of scared, so I asked my friend if he could help me out. He thought nothing of it and told me he would help me without hesitating. By going by his actions, I knew he was sincere and was my very best friend. Needless to say, I didn't get jumped, but by friend was there for me if it did happen, and it was so special that he was my very best friend.

Hmmmm...well, my best friend is my best friend because of what I DID. Pretty similar to your post. I was there when she needed me and to this day (35 years later) she reminds me and other people how I stood by her when no one else did and I didn't care what others thought abt me for doing so. Pretty much, I have been there when she needed someone.

I don't have a best friend, but I can tell you why I consider one of my friends as "special" and consider them a "good friend" in one way.

A friend was "there for me" during a weird and jealous time last July 2005. Just by allowing me to vent and held my head up high was special for me. I truly treasure that in him.

My best friend has stayed in touch with me, for all of the 26 yrs we've known each other and I consider that special. She's really the only one I can say that about.

She's one of the only friends I've had that has truly been loyal and kind to me. Most of my friends in my personal life have been very fairweather, but not Bethany. Even when she moved away to Ohio, she sent me cards regularly, just to let me know she was thinking of me. When she still lived in NY, we'd both help each other out--she'd help me a bit with Math homework and I'd give her some advice on writing assignments. When I was out of a job and car during my first year of college, she drove me to classes whenever she could and would spot me when we went out to dinner.

I am only grateful I've had a chance to repay her Our friendship is very give-and-take--when one person is suffering, we help them out and know that the action will be returned. She's really one of the only people in my personal life I know I can count on.

ha, i can tell you things past best friends have done that DON'T give me a reason to consider them my best friend.

but anyway back when me and boyfriend, whom i would consider my best friend were just casual friends and not very close, he really reached out to me when he found out about my depression and catastrophic home life and whatnot..he talked about how much he could relate and told me some things about himself he'd never told anyone else before. it surpised me because there was no idea i could have had that he cared so much about me. it would take me forever to talk about everything he's done for me, but basically he definitely saved me from myself, no one has ever cared about me like he does. he makes me realize that i'm special and loved more than anything else ever has..pretty much my whole life i've always felt like nothing but an inconvience to people and no one cared that much about me. and he's the only person i've been close to who takes me as seriously as i need to be; he doesn't think that my usual weird/silly personality lessens any need for deep support when i'm emotional. yeah this probably all sounds pretty cliche and teenagerish but i've never had anyone in my life with such a pure heart.

Last year,I blacked out in a class and some people stopped wanting to be my friend and acted like I was some sort of joke, but the rest of my friends stuck by my side and didn't care because they knew that I was a nice guy and would stick by their side no matter what either

I don't have a best friend, but there is one person I know who I consider to be special, and it's really just down to the way he is - the way he acts and behaves. I can't quite explain it; there's something about him that just draws me to him. He's very bright, and really friendly and nice, and pretty funny, too. He's great.

They didn't want to be your friend because you passed out? What the hell kind of people act like that?
