Default After hearing Benson say this in one of the episodes, I will be a daily watcher

of this show every night. I was watching the episode when Benson was telling the Governor he wasn't really ready for marriage because he doesn't like anyone talking to him while he is watching the game and that he likes to wear his pajamas all day on Sunday-lol I said-"Damm Benson sounds just like me"-lol

BTW: I like the Interaction between Benson and Kraus

I wouldn't blame you, Brieannas21. This show ended by the time I was born and when I saw rerpeats of the show, I too was a young lad to even remember this show, outside the theme song.

What does it being on ABC have to do with you watching it?

I was too young to watch it back then but I remember my mom watching it and some years later I watched the reruns

your sentence is implying that because it was on ABC that is the reason you didn't watch it, which is why Brie asked...LOL

I remember watching Benson when I was little with my mom. They originally aired the re-runs on WGN in the 80's.

In my teen years, I started collecting shows that I grew up with. When I found out that Benson was being aired on BET in 1996, I started taping them. But I did a stupid thing. I recorded over the episodes for a movie in SP mode. As is my luck, the show was pulled and I was out all of the episodes that I had taped. In 2000, I was happy. Benson was finally back on the air through the Screen Gems Network. They were heavily edited (for commercials), but I didn't care. I taped them like mad, and stored them. Now, in 2006 I am glad to have the chance to tape any episode(s) that I had missed.

I LOVE Benson. It was creative, funny, and even though the show revolves the political spectrum, it was always neutral. Benson will always remain one of my favorite shows.

Fun Fact: I watched Benson long before I knew it was a spin-off of Soap. I discovered Soap in my teen years when my friend's dad collected the VHS tapes through the Columbia House video club, and I was curious.

They use to show Benson a long time ago on BET but I never really got into it. But I watched the marathon this past weekend and really enjoyed it.

I was born in 1979 (exactly one week after Benson debuted!) so I obviously don't remember the show when it was first on. I did see it in syndication in the mid-late 1980s. This is the first time in nearly 20 years that I've seen the episodes (at least the first season, since I checked the DVD set out of the library). It is very funny - especially the physical humor, they were all good at it.
