"Heckle & Jeckle Cartoon Show" Opening & Closing on YouTube - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

As I mentioned before, I posted the opening and closing for the syndicated "Terrytoons" show, I also found two great Terrytoons intros and outros courtesy of YouTube. It was the second Terrytoons show called "The Heckle & Jeckle Cartoon Show". The first show was "Mighty Mouse Playhouse" produced in 1955, the next year, "The Heckle & Jeckle Cartoon Show" was the second series. It was originally in black & white. Thanks to Freenbean out at YouTube for these two great Terrytoons TV gems. If someone has a copy of the opening and closing of "Mighty Mouse Playhouse" in black & white (not the spanish version of the closing in color the one you've just saw), YouTube will have it soon. In the meantime, enjoy!

This was the 1965 COLOR opening & closing (it wasn't until September of that year that CBS started telecasting their Saturday morning "Terrytoon" shows in color). It was also used in the 1969-'71 NBC edition, AND in syndication [although WPIX-TV, when they showed it daily in the '70s, cut Jeckle's closing line, "See ya' next week with another cartoon show!!", because "tomorrow" wasn't "next week"!].

And then there's the three standard transitions used before each cartoon:

1) JECKLE: And now it's time for our foist cartoon!
HECKLE: You'll just LOVE it!!!

2) JECKLE: Here comes some MORE cartoon fun!
HECKLE: Wait 'till you see the next one..it's a DILLY!!!

3) {both of them are involved in some mirror shenanigans..}
HECKLE & JECKLE: ..and now it's time for US to go on!
