Hawkeye likes red? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

In one of Hawkeye's many rants, he says he is so tired of seeing green and longs to see some red. Did he not see enough of that in the operating room? Seems there would be lots of red blood to look at there. Surely they didn't have him want that color just for that stupid bit about the naturally red-headed man walking in at the end.

I think in this rant he does make a comment about "not blood red..." and instead, referring to a bold, bright, cheery red...Then again, seeing how his robe is red, you'd think he'd have chosen a more-rare color around camp...like turquoise. That would have been hard to dye everything though haha!

I read that the party at the end of that episode (PEACE ON US) was based on a real incident at a MASH unit back then. They put it all the way at the end, though, because they felt that some people might not beleieve it.
