Default Do people you work with bring their relatives or boyfriends/girlfriends to the job?

I just never understood why people do things like that. In all the jobs I had, i have never brung any of my family members inside or girlfriends. Have you worked with people who done this?

I've done it. My husband would pick me up for lunch, and I'd tell him to come in. The first time was to show him my workplace and to show him off.

I've had friends come to my work on occasion, and I've gone to their work. My friend is a floral designer. On Saturdays, she's in the back of the flower shop, making arrangements. If I'm in the area, I stop by and visit her while she works. Her boss doesn't mind. I don't stay long.

I have brought my wife to my job a couple of times. Usually though, it was on New Year's Eve when I was working.

Although I'm in the UK, most of my family is in America (because my mother is American) and we often go over there to visit. My Aunt Sharon, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina (along with my Aunt Denny, Uncle John, and their four daughters) has, on occasion, taken us down to where she works so we can meet her co-workers. I think we've been down there about three or four times. They've always been very friendly and happy to meet us.

Brian, you're all set and off the hook. Solomon says it's okay.

You can relax now.

It all depends what kind of job, business, etc. it is. I have seen it done and I have done it many times. nothing unusual abt it...it would only be unusual if only one person did it and it was against business policy or some security risk, etc.

I've never been to my boyfriend's job, just his work party.

They used to before we moved into our new office. We have to put them on a visitors list now, at the front desk.

Yes, I work at "Zellers" and employees do it all the time. Also, some of them work together. There's a couple (husband & wife) that work together but not in the same area. Then, you have (mother & son) and so forth.

In the past, I've worked somewhere else and it was the same thing.
My boyfriend doesn't agree that people who are dating and/or family members
should work in the same company. I don't have a problem with it unless it
creates a problem for others.

In my office, if your having lunch then it's ok. But if they are just visiting then that's Inappropriate.

Well I guess it all depends on what kind of office you're working in. But in my office, we don't play that

I've brought my little girl to work but I was on vacation and I was just picking up papers.
