Default Analyzing the Ginger and Mary Ann Debate!!

Most threads on this forum go to the great "Mary Ann or Ginger " debate and 99.9999999999% of the time it seems people want Mary Ann more..

The most obvious reasons seem to be ..she is a good girl,,,Next door type ect...

What makes Ginger so undesirable is my question.... (I mean if mary ann is the overwhelming favorite there must be something wrong with Ginger)

Who wouldn't give their left one for a night in a hammock with her??

Is she out of OUR league??

Do we have a better chance of scoring with a farm girl??

Could these be the real excuses that we are refusing to admit??

Personally I think Ginger is absolutely PIMPADELIC!!!

I don't have anything against Ginger, I just like Mary Ann more.

I don't think its that, she seemed to fake for me. She was kind of full of herself to much. That is a turn off for me.

Ok Brother...I can accept that.... I thought They both had their selfless AND selfish acts. but so be it..

Just seems to me I am the only guy in America that would take Ginger over her...

But don't get me wrong about Mary Ann...I would hit that without thinking twice also.

Like I said on some other thread if it was Ginger and someone other than Mary Ann I would most likely pick Ginger. With the 2 back to back I would go with Mary Ann.

Hi GWB. I'm a girl, and remember idolizing Ginger when I was little. She kind of looked like my mom from a long time ago, except taller. I think Ginger was just as sweet and kind as Mary Ann, if not more so. Remember her feeding Gilligan when he had that bowling ball on his hand? Or feeding Walter the pidgeon? She seemed to have a lot of maternal instinct and also wished she had been a nurse instead of a movie star at one point. So she seemed intelligent and creative to me. There were a few jokes that made her seem "selfish" (eg. her favorite movie star was herself, etc.) but I think she was still a lovely lady. Gilligan also seemed to be better friends with her than with Mary Ann. I mean he liked MA just fine, but seemed facinated by Ginger deep down inside.

Have you seen the entries for GI on the Jump the Shark website? I can't believe what some people write. There was one man who said about Tina Louise "Who ever thought SHE was attractive?" Geez, if *Tina* was unattractive, than what *would* be an attractive woman in his eyes???

I personally can't imagine GI without Ginger, the tall, beautiful redhead. I can imagine it without Mary Ann, but not Ginger.

Now can we have a Gilligan vs. Professor debate pleeeeeeeeeeease????????

Nice to meet you.

Don't get me wrong. I'd play hide the banana with Mary Ann without thinking twice...

But Ginger!! I mean GINGER!!!!!!!! Sexy in every way...And that Voice!!!

And I love tall women.

Mary Ann was a tad whiney...and always seemed worried!!.

Good Question!!!!!!!
I too have always wondered why the guys choose MaryAnn.

I would think Ginger to "mess around with" and MaryAnn to keep. Is that how the general consensus sees it?

How many young girls have been told that "good girls" are what guys want to marry, but "bad/experienced girls" are what guys want to "date"...hmmmmm

Speaking of bananas. . .

In the "Big Man on a Little Stick" episode, in one scene Duke has a banana in his pants. If that's not innuendo, I don't know what is. . .

Re: Ginger or Mary Ann: Just to show what a good sport I am, I'd let the other guy have first choice, and I'd take whoever was left!

Now am I the most unselfish person ever, or what?

i'd have to say Mary Ann.

I mean for fooling around of course Ginger.

But if you wanted something serious it would be Mary Ann.

I can't.

I think "Mary Ann" got the most fan mail when the show was airing.
