I wanted to post on the the "other" Valerie of the VALERIE show, Ms. Valerie Breiman. Remembering back to 1987, don't think I've seen it since, VB as Lori in the "Bad Timing" episode left quite an impression on me (maybe cause I was about the same age as her, and Jason Bateman, at the time)...Wow, she's beautiful! Perfect 10! So feminine in that blouse-skirt-and-boots outfit! etc. Definitely could see why Jason Bateman's character wanted to date/romance her...plus of course they had this whole previous relationship as children before the ep. Now it was interesting and believable (but I understand somewhat controversial in the US and Canada) that when Valerie Harper's character found out, or suspected, about this relationship JB as David and VB as Lori had, or were about to have, she didn't get mad and yell or anything like that...but tried to counsel about birth control and so forth. Maybe since she knew David's "girlfriend" in this case, Lori, and "approved" of her...

Now since then Valerie Breiman has moved on to become a director...of an early Adam Sandler film, GOING OVERHEAD/BABES AHOY, plus BIKINI SQUAD and now LOVE AND SEX. She says she's retired from acting, even in her own movies...Oh well...But what I'd like to know is if anyone else found her and the ep. as appealing as I did? And since the story was open for her to come back as JB's steady girlfriend, why wasn't she asked back? Fallout from Valerie Harper leaving the show and a desire for newer stories/characters? Any pics of VB out there from "Bad Timing" Thanks!
