...when Florida returned home in Florida's Homecoming? I found it rather odd.

Well he had borrowed a car from someone, I can't remember who. But he was supposed to be gone to pick Flo up from the airport. But JJ being the fool he is, he had to mess up something

No doubt the character JJ was a fool, but it just seemed the writers kept Jimmie Walker away from Esther in that initial scene.

It seemed like they were just trying to get another "welcome back" scene out of it. Because all of them weren't there at the same time or something.

How did Flo get home, anyway? Did she take a bus or cab?
