The Life Of Valerie

Starring Beverley Mitchell as Valerie Rylander, the 23-year-old bartender who shares a great bond with her single mother, Faith Rylander (Jennifer Coolidge), who's a beautician. Valerie and Faith share a Chicago apartment together. Valerie has been currently dating Shawn Pierson (Joseph Lawrence), the 30-year-old firefighter-who just so happens to be a divorced father of two girls. Shawn and Valerie have been dating for about seven months now. Shawn and his ex-wife, Amber (Shannen Doherty) have split custody of their two lovely girls- Gracie (whos 8) and Sadie (whos 6). Valerie and Gracie & Sadie love each other and get along great with each other. Problems arise when Faith begins dating Valerie's former high school crush, Damien St. James (Jesse Metcalfe)-who has moved in across the hall from Valerie and Faith. Valerie is not too happy with her mom dating Damien, even though she loves Shawn. Plus, more problems arise when Shawn decides to pop the question to Valerie (during sex one night), who says yes on a whim (without fully thinking it over clearly). Amber is not too happy with the idea of her ex-hubby (Shawn) getting remarriedl; also Faith fears Valerie is making the biggest mistake of her life by getting married so young. Can these new emotional and drama-induced milestones cause tense and ruin Faith and Valerie's relationship with each other?
