Default The "How Harvey (LilHave) Got His Groove Back" Avatar Contest

Being a member and frequent visitor to a half dozen or so boards, I've noticed that a person's avatar (the little picture under his user name) helps paint a picture or image of the person behind the keyboard.

With that in mind, I'm amazed at how many of the "regulars" on the trade board have been using an old stale picture that doesn't work for them (IMHO) or even worse, have no avatar at all.

This leaves us with no choice, BUT TO GIVE YOU, YOUR VERY OWN SITCOMS MAKEOVER !!

Each week, we'll pick a lucky S.O. member with no AVATAR, and help him/her find that picture, character or phrase that fits that lucky user's Online Persona

Our first lucky contestant is Good 'ol Harvey (Lilhave)
I'll start it off by submitting this entry that combines his 2 favorite things,

NYC and ______

(This can actually double as a good tattoo for you also !!! - Think how cool it'll look on the beach on Coney island )

I can write pages and pages about growing up at Coney Island. What fond memories.

come on harvey, tell us how it was growing up with teddy roosevelt in the whitehouse

back when there were only 5 volumes in the enclyclopedia

back when the new testement was really the new testement

back when the statue of liberty was still copper color

back when the staten island ferry was a penny

back when babe ruth was a young buck

back when talkies were the future of entertainment

oh what stories could be told

Don't give up your day job to do stand up comedy.

Things were easier then. Betsy only had to worry about putting thirteen stars on the flag, and priority mail was when you kicked the horse in the ass. I told Abe, "say 87 years, not 4 score, and 7 years ago" but did he listen? No one listens to me. I told Garfield,"if you persist in standing on railroad platforms, someone will shoot you?" It's not widely known but I told Custer, "stop with the Indian bull****, take up photography" I can remember Sutter in California. "forget the pans", I told him, all you'll get is dirty knees, and rocks in your pants cuffs"

As a child hundreds of years ago, I dreamed of the day when I would be able to meet, long distance someone who was a throwback to the days of ear;y civilization, when man was on par with the first apes. Then I met Loren. Actually I knew Loren's great, great, great grandpappy. There was no money in those days, so all you did was barter and trade. It was hard to trade with Grandpappy, he claimed everything was on his premium list.

He's actually checking out all the tattoo parlors in Brooklyn to see if any of them can do an ironon sticker transfer- He got a little squeamish when he heard there were needles involved with real tattoos.

Loren,Lamont - you surely must have a good one?
