Where are archived Nielsen ratings? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

There are several TV shows whose Nielsen ratings I would love to look up (especially '80s shows), and I know some are available online, but I can't find anything by Googling.

Someone at the "Who's the Boss?" board posted the Nielsen ratings for that show recently, but they couldn't remember where they found it online.

If anyone knows where to look up old Nielsen TV ratings---especially '80s ones---I'd appreciate it!

How accurate is this? I don't see the Brady Bunch on any list from 69-74? I thought it was a top rated show even up till its demise?

Brady Bunch was more popular in reruns than its original run.

I think the poster wants to know where online can he find the ratings for shows beyond the top 30? I think that is what he is asking

Not if the Bradys was going up against sanford and son they wouldn;t have been in the top ten

Sanford and Son was on at the same time as the Brady Bunch on Friday Nights

He meant Sanford & Son was directly up against Brady Bunch on Friday nights (8pm Eastern/7 Central), and Sanford & Son was usually in the top 10 in the ratings and at it's peak was the #2 show on all of TV behind only All In The Family. Brady Bunch never even sniffed the top 30, but still lasted 5 seasons because ABC was still perennially the third-place network. And a good site for nightly ratings going all the way back to 1983 (and some from earlier) is http://TVtango.com

Search archives here...you'll find 80's.
