Default ANOTHER THIEF TO REPORT-- BRADY WEST

i found a video provider with a web site, so i emailed and asked numerous questions

such as quality , number of discs, and if it had menus or not

i was assured the near set was from digital cable, so excellent quality

i was assured it had menus

i was assured it was on 9 dvds

well i took a chance and ordered the item

and oh my goodness what did i receive

8 dvds and one vhs tape

dude claims the vhs was copy protected and he couldnt make a disc of it

the other 8 discs of course had no menus at all

and as for quality, well an honest rate would be 7 of 10

far from excellant

and guess what, zero response to my emails

Con Artist seems like a more appropriate title.

Did you trade or buy from him? How long has it been since he has ignored your emails?

I have seen this name before, I think on the Yahoo forums. I wonder if he is new or just misleading people on purpose

Isn't it ironic that the scammers seem to often have a tipoff in their email names "shadybrady" Can't believe how many times I have seen that type of signature, Andy Turpa was good too "can'tfindme" or something similar.

Ok, maybe it's just me - but you weren't worried when his ID contained the word "shady"? lol! Just busting on ya, Loren. Thanks for the info and we'll all add him to our list.

Default DAMN SHAME!

u know
maybe i am getting more cynical as i get older
but the more i trade--- the less i like most traders

it seems for every good trader like padre, loren or lilhave
there are at least 3 crappy ones

jeesh----

the guy has a good list and could do some good with it
but it looks like he is another one of those compulsive liars or simply wayyyy to greedy and wants to lie about qualtiy in order to sucker people in

(shaking my head)

lots of normal people have very unusal screen names, ids, email names, etc

no it didnt tip me to the potential

yes i knew it was a risk, but the up side was pretty nice, if it had been even close to the truth

after all the item i was after wasnt impossible,

it was mork and mindy

a show that should be easily avaible

i figured the local cable station must have run it at some point

and yes i filed a paypal complaint, and of course it was denied in about a minute, since they sent me something, no matter what, as long as a del con number was used

dudes list seems pretty nice, so dont get sucked in , my lesson doesnt need to become yours

It is always good to learn from your mistakes but it is far less painful to learn from others mistakes. Thanks for the heads up Loren

Loren. If you want revenge, run his email on Ebay to see if he is a seller. If he is, set yourself up a new Ebay account. Then, bid outrageously high on everything he has for sale. Then, when he asks for payment, tell him the check is in the mail. Let him fight with Ebay on getting credit for his fees.

ill just cry about it for a while, warn the rest of you mugs

and move along onto something else

i took a shot and it didnt pan out

what i received was nothing like i should have had

but ill still swap some, of cousre graded at 7 of 10, rather than the 9 it was advertised as

Getting scammed is the worst! And the worst part is, that if it's something you want so badly, you ignore all the obvious signs that you're dealing with a scammer and don't notice them until it's too late. A while ago I lost a whopping $185 dollars to a scammer and got nothing in return. And the worst part is.. I can't even say it... I paid through western union (don't laugh, I have no idea what posessed me to do such a thing!) I didn't know much about western union at the time or that it was a dead give away that I was dealing with a scammer, so I guess I deserved it for being so naive. But yeah, I couldn't report it or anything. The guy never gave me my stuff to this day. It sickens me that he got away with it, and I'm betting he fooled a lot of other people as well. That was probably the first time I ever got scammed in a big way, but believe me I've learned my lesson.

Sorry this doesn't really relate to the topic at hand, but I just felt like sharing my story.

Default Added

I have added the info, albeit no user Id was given- to the master bad list-

If any Users Ids are available, or if you find out he also trades or peddles on sites- drop me an email-

BUt at the very bottom of the BAD trader list I have added a BAD SELLER list-

As sometimes people pop up, and solicite traders, but have no identifiable trader ID.

So if there is reason to add anyone else to this cliff note at the bottom, feel free to let me know.
Understand I cna't enforce bad sales- but I certainly, don't want anyone taken advantage either, so the information might be useful to others.

Here's his Ebay info. He uses the shadybradywest@earthink.net email address on Ebay. He is registered in Texas. His user ID is shadybradyo and he has a feedback of 1. He apparently does not sell, at least nothing is listed right now:

I don't remember his name, but I do his email address.

electrobazaar@hotmail.com

And he was from Alberta, Canada.

I haven't seen him on here or any other trading sites though so it shouldn't be a problem. I was approached by him at the IMDb message boards.

Thumbs down SHADY BRADY

i can say this

i have the EXACT SAME set loren got stuck
same 7 discs with last disc on a vhs tape

i asked the guy about it and he replied saying that the set ws "an 8 or 9 of 10" which is total B.S.

the set is a 7-7.5

i can also vouch-- there are NO menus and the commercials ARE NOT taken out

the guy is indeed, VERY SHADY
