What did you remember from the series before watching the DVD?

Before I got the DVD in the mail last week I only remembered one scene from watching the series and one from a documentary. I thought that I watched the series and not just one or two episodes and I thought that I enjoyed watching Jo and Blair square off.....but I wasn't quite sure. I'm still not sure how much I watched but season 1 didn’t ring any bells at all. An acquaintance of mine with an amazing memory tells me that it was shown each weekday (over here in New Zealand) rather than once a week which you guys in America probably got over there. I remember it being on in about 84 85 but no other time. If it was on tv for more than a year or whatever then I think I would have remembered more.
I don’t think it’s been repeated over here since that 80’s screening. They did show a documentary about a couple of years ago, but that’s about it that I know of.

So: what do you remember from the first time you saw the series, and when was that and what country was that in?
Oh yeah and the scene I remembered was the one where the four girls were in jail and the bully had relented about taking Blairs watch commenting about it being junk to which Blair responds about how much it costs and the expensive store she got it from. Then Jo looks at her in exasperation. What a hoot.
