the prohibition had just been repealed, and me and your mama were celebrating. yeah we had some 3.2 soda and some beer. You put that together you made top and bottom. You drink a quart of that you cant tell your top from your bottom

Fred said that quote in the "Blind Mellow Jelly Collection" which was from Season 3.

While playing some of the old records, he told Lamont how much he and Elizabeth enjoyed those old songs in 1933. However, in later episode, he told his old friend "Bo-Legs" that he met Elizabeth "during the war, in 1942."
