Now we have the acceptance speeches, and we're going from best rating to worst.

First we have SavageAmusement with her acceptance speech on winning "Best Trader" and also "Most Honest"

WHEN THE POLL CAME OUT k.h. fan IM'd me and alerted me at once- that it was up

i had a slight issues with the rankings, MY ISSUE was with the ratings, b/c i thought that was unfair as it was NOT based on the POLL it even says it is ALSO based on past comments

for instance some people like JOEY or LILHAVE were rated only good, I THINK THEY SHOULD BE EXCELLENT and K.H. fan told me that if you "DIDNT WIN an award, the highest you could go was GOOD" that was all

i dont think im a better trader than joey, or harvey or others who were GOOD

and jennymc, who i think is a great trader was listed as FAIR originally and i thought that she was getting the shaft on that one

IT WAS NOT MY PLACE to speak out for them, and i am sorry on that one---- BUT MY INTENTIONS WERE TO KEEP people from feeling like they got the shaft only b/c people dont know them as well as me or loren

TRUST ME my comments were in no way any defense of any member

AGENT 13 also got a BAD award for WORST SCAMMER CATEGORY, and i emailed saying that award "Might cause problems" by having it public----

was trying to avoid a fight or threats on that one because I heard that last time Agent 13 had public issues it caused problems between and for users----
i was NOT defending Agent13, or trying to argue with anyones opinion at all

and YES the poll was conducted and the results were in and I shouldnt have said a damn thing and im honestly sorry about it----- didnt mean to get people ticked off at Lamont and i should have kepy my big mouth shut on this one---- so there we go, old Lamont has made public what was erased

ORIGINALLY jennymc was rated only fair, agent 13 was rated only fair and Agent 13 won for the WORST SCAMMER AWARD

lamont has not posted the LOST AWARDS publicly and feel free to comment on what a stupid backwoods hillbilly moron i am for opening my mouth to start with, ill take a hit on that one, but please accept my apologies
and if K.H.Fan wants to, PLEASE PUT IT ALL BACK EXACTLY as it was

perhaps i jumped the gun on this one and im sorry, if people voted and harvey is only good, put him down as good, if people voted and AGENT 13 gets WORST SCAMMER AWARD, then she gets it

i can say that I have traded with several people that are rated GOOD or FAIR and they should be rated much higher!

If you did not win an award the highest rating you can get is Good. Superior and Excellent are only for the people who won one of the awards.

2. the WORST awards --- i think most of us were under the impression that those would NOT be posted publicly and again, i think that keeping them posted will cause more harm than good

But i just hope everyone who reads it realizes, that only a few people actually voted and in truth, these awards really do not mean squat! and to be honest, I think most all of the traders who were rated on the list are GREAT traders and regardless of the GOOD, EXCELLENT or SUPERIOR i think they are all SUPERIOR!

I'm sorry I have to say this, but you are asking way too much, Lamont! It's just a poll, I'll edit out some of the stuff you requested, but as for the LILHAVE and JENNYMCC, I said it through email, PM and on this thread and I will say it one last time IF YOU DID NOT WIN AN AWARD THE HIGHEST YOU CAN BE RATED IS GOOD for someone who wasn't awarded, "Good" is actually a very good rating, because it's the highest possible rank for people who have not been awarded. Just saying, you complain too much

By the way, after we're done with the acceptance speeches, I have a suprise for all of you!

Well ratings are hard---and if anything, this should encourage more people to get involved- cuz the more there are the fairer the ratings will be-
Obviously, the more involvement, the larger the views and opinions stretch

There are some on that list that I would rate higher definately-
and I have to say, sometimes I feel like I am a darn good trader-
but other times I think others inspire me to be better.

So I suppose my acceptance speech goes as this-


From the day I started trading, no matter how well a trade went, or how bad-
It has taught me invaluable lessons. From how to make better menues, to how to edit better.
To reach for better quality, and put the extra time and effort into ordering the episodes.
I have learned about new programs, and better media from people such as Loren-
I have learned the love of older rare shows from Lamont.
I have learned how to start making better menues, with KristenHerrarFan as a a guide, JoshfromKc, Joker, and Norm.
I have learned to be more calm, and let things go with Lilhaves humor, and to put things in perspective with Jokers views, and cartoondvds opinions.
I have learned there are really good, generous people who care more about the friendship from traders like Lilhave,linna59,christyking,jie3 and dragonbear.
I was taught how to turn the other cheek from Agent13 and Sheri220
And hopefully how to moderate better and more objectively.
I have learned how generous and caring as a group we can be, when tragedy strikes- and how compassionate others are towards each other such as april4972,joey1727,jenncymc and many more.
And how we can band as a unit when scammers pop up, disaster for programs-
I have seen people send off discs and vhs tapes they no longer need, when a trader was hit by the Katrina disaster-to help rebuild her collection
And have learned that this hobby may be what we have in common-
but many have brought so much more than a common interest to this board, but friendship and loyalty.


This poll doesn't represent all the great trades, only the few that were involved- and without 100% participateion Lamont is right there is no real fair way to judge.
Those who are good traders know it-
those who are bad traders know it (even if they don't want us to)

There is not one person on this board - or even some who aren't on the board anymore that didn't not influence me to be a better trader, a better moderator- maybe even a better person.

My only hopes is that through that knowledge, I inspire others as well to be more gracious, more considerate, more responsible, and to realize there is no real "best trader"
Sometimes I believe we are only parts of one larger trade machine-
We all need each other, and hopefully, through each other can become the best WE can indivually be as well as, as a group.

I showed my wife that I was voted good. She said " how could you be voted good when you don't take out the garbage"? Thank G-D that wasn't part of the criteria. I was hoping sweetness, kindness, being loveable and being a Paul Newman clone in the looks department would score more points. I can see charm, and being the most cuddly didn't count. Oh well, relegated to the garbage dump one more time.

Wow! I just got around to looking at the boards! A lot has happened in a day! I haven't had time to read everything, but I see my name has been mentioned here and there.
