I did not know if you saw this or not in the other topic.

I would really apperciate it if you could find out more info on pharmacists and USC and all that other stuff. I understand if you don't want to though.

And where is USC located and is there an website for it? I went to usc.com and it took me to a computer website.

Anyways thanx!

I'm happy to help in any way. Here is what i found so far and will post whatever else I can find for you. This is the Admission Policy:

The criteria used by the Admission Committee include a number of factors. Major consideration is given to those applicants who demonstrate high academic standards as well as those who indicate qualities of self-motivation and promise as future pharmacists. In addition, the committee views with high regard those applicants who can function well with people on a one-to-one basis, possess strong oral and written communication skills, maturity, leadership qualities, and who have worked or volunteered in a health care environment. Academic transcripts, two recommendation forms and personal statements are reviewed carefully by the committee. Personal interviews will be required for admission. The School of Pharmacy cannot accommodate all qualified applicants.

This is if you have a post bachularest degree i believe:

Post-Baccalaureate Program

If a vacancy exists, the School of Pharmacy accepts a limited number of applicants who hold a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. Applicants are required to have earned their degree within the last ten years and have practiced as licensed pharmacists for at least 3 years. Such applicants may not be required to meet all prepharmacy requirements in order to qualify for admission, and if admitted into the doctor of pharmacy program, may be accepted at an advanced level for a minimum of two years of full-time study. Typically, admittees complete the same program as completed by Level III and Level IV students.

Pre-Pharmacy course requierments:

A minimum of 60 semester or 90 quarter units must be completed prior to entrance, including calculus, general and organic chemistry, biological sciences, English composition, public speaking (speech), social and behavioral sciences, and humanities. These requirements may be completed at any accredited two-year or four-year college or university. All courses must be completed with grades of C- or higher.
Grades of Pass/No Pass will not be accepted (unless a course is offered only on a Pass/No Pass basis). Candidates who have received or will receive a baccalaureate degree or who have completed units in excess of the minimum required will be considered more favorably than applicants who have fulfilled only minimum requirements.

I will give you the direct link to get the full course requierments because it's a bit much to post. It's:
http://pharmacy.usc.edu/pharmd/prepharmreqs.shtml

This school is located at:1985 Zonal Ave. Los Angeles, California 90089-9121. Basicly it's in Los Angeles about 30 minutes away from UCLA. And if you go to the main website it will give you all the student information about life and all the other things you'd need to know. Personaly it's a pretty good school and it offers a lot . Trust me you would have a ball. I've visited before.

P.S.- I hope I helped you and I'll be happy to find out anything eles about it if you want me to

I forgot to tell you, that particular part of the school is not located on the main campus but on a different one. That's how the other programs are but it's still the same school in the same area.that's why the address is slightly differentand www.usc.edu is the link to the main website.

Here is some more infor. to get into the school for undergrad like right after u graduate high school.

Freshman
Freshmen candidates are evaluated on the rigor of their high school course work, their grades and their scores from standardized tests. A personal résumé, an essay and school recommendations also play important roles in the admission decision. Consideration is given to class rank, honors courses, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate work when assessing your grade point average. You will be considered individually on the merits of your academic record, personal qualities, and potential for success in your field of interest. There is no absolute "cutoff" for grades, rank in class, or test scores at USC, as we are interested in the interplay of these elements and your personal accomplishments. At minimum, freshmen applicants are expected to complete 16 year long courses, including 13 in academic solids and up to three in acceptable electives.
Course Requirements

4 years-English (composition and literature)
2 years-foreign language
3 years-mathematics (algebra, geometry, advanced algebra, trigonometry, or calculus)
2 years-natural science (e.g. biology, chemistry, physics)
2 years-social sciences (e.g. U.S. history, government, economics, geography)
3 years additional in above or electives (e.g. computer science, art, music, speech)
Naturally, we are interested in a consistently strong academic performance throughout a candidate's four-year high school record. However, we realize that some bright students, for one reason or another, don't "get it together" right away. In these cases special attention is given to improvement in the junior and senior years. Most freshmen will be notified of a decision by mid-March; freshmen who are admitted with honors will be notified earlier.

Students are admitted to the university on the strength of their academic background, but some majors such as architecture,business/accounting, cinema-television, dentistry/dental hygiene, fine arts, journalism, music, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy and theatre have additional special requirements. These may include an audition, portfolio or writing sample. The USC application packet provides information about these specific requirements.

Interviews allow us to get to know you better and vice versa; interviews breathe life into the application process. Personal interviews with USC admission staff and alumni are available either on or off the campus, and we encourage you to schedule one, especially during the summer before your senior year if you are a freshman candidate.
And I believe that the SAT score minimum is 1300, if i remember corectly, because i can't find it on their website. But basicly if you study hard and do well all throughout high school meaning u get all A's and B's only, buttry to maintain as close to an A adverage as possible, then it shouldn't be to hard. Plus if u do that, u can most likely get a scholarship. Thet also like leaders and people who have had or have steady jobs and can prove to be dependent and reliable. Like being in leadership classes(if ur school have those) would be grwat to put on ur resume.

I'll try to fing some more info. on the pharmacy school then i'll post it a.s.a.p.
