Default New All That Book

I thought I'd share a story with you guys. This christmas I, a college student, ran into Alisa Reyes of All That on myspace. I almost jokingly said I would love to do something like write about her tv show if only she would get me interviews with her fellow cast mates she was in touch with. Well, to my surprise she said yes, so a half year later I am now finally transcribing the great interviews I've had on the phone with Josh Server and Danny Tamberelli, Katrina Johnson, Angelique Bates, Kevin Kopelow, and more. Anyway, it has just been really great and I thought I would share with all of you All That fans. There's a publisher interested and if it does come out it will be at the end of the year, but anyway it should be great beause they've really told me a lot of surprising things and they answered all questions you might have about why your favorite cast member left when he did, etc. Keep an eye out for it.

I'm so excited.

Some things that have interested me ever since I started watching All That:

- The reason Angelique Bates was let go. Considering she was the first person they let out, there must have been a big reason.
- The reason Alisa and Katrina were let go while 3 new cast members got brought back in. I wonder how they decide who's "better than the others". Then again, I guess by the end of Season 3, it was obvious that Amanda, Lori Beth, Kenan, Kel, and Josh were the stars, while Alisa and Katrina were "just there".
- If age had any effect on people's departures. I remember the last season Katrina was on, it looked like she had grown nearly 4-5 inches. Remember the opening where she was in that striped shirt with straight hair? She was way taller and way more older looking there than the season before where she was extremely short and had curly hair.
- The reason Lori Beth Denberg left. Lori Beth seemed to be one of the big stars of the show; I remember her being the one who was ALWAYS on "Figure It Out", so when she left, it came as a bit of a shock to me.
- The story behind those 3 cast members who randomly joined in Season 4, I think? I don't remember them, but I just remember one was Tricia Dickson? They were on for like 2 episodes then just disappeared.
- Why production seemed to stop after Season 6 -- remember all the "Best of Amanda Bynes" "Best of Josh Server" "Best of Kel Mithcell"
- Why Kenan and Kel left after Season 5.

I want to know the dirt. Mainly was their any backstage dating among the cast when they were on the show. And to a lesser extent, a castmember and a musical guest. And at the very least, who had a crush on who.

And no, despite what some might say, there was nothing between Kenan and Kel. LOL

Angelique was fired because they were already planning on bringing on Amanda and she was chosen of the 7 because they thought she didn't have as much stuff as the rest of them did.

Katrina left in episode 50, which was the middle of season 3, she wasn't in the other half of season 3, she wanted to quit, she wanted a different career, after all that she got into song writing and communications, last I heard she was attending USC.

Alisa was fired for an unknown reason, but she certainly wasn't upset about that, because she planned on leaving after the third season anyway, because she no longer wanted to do sketch comedy.

Lori Beth left to become a full time cast member on "The Steve Harvey Show"

Kenan left to go to college, and didn't want to go there with the distraction of Hollywood, which explains why Kenan & Kel was cancelled in 1999, the same year all that season 5 ended.

The Reason Kel left is unknown, but I guess it's because he knew that Kel would only be half the fun without Kenan.

Very interesting. How do you know about the Angelique, Katrina, and Alisa stories for sure?

to the Kristen H. fan, your facts are incorrect. Especially about Angelique & Alisa. I'm good friends with both of them and i know the exact reasons, feel free to talk to angelique yourself.

Angelique's contract was up. That is the truth, she didn't quit. She had to leave. And Alisa left All That to do some other stuff. And ALL of the other facts are TRUE.

Default Apologies About My All That Book

I announced on here a few months ago that I was writing a great All That book, but unfortunately I have run out of time and resources to finish it properly. About the only good thing I do have is interviews with 11 people from the show, and those people include Josh, Danny, Katrina Alisa, Angelique, Kevin, and some others from behind the scenes. Anyway, it looks like they will not see the light of day. About the only thing I could do is perhaps try to start some sort of site with a pay as you see type of deal, with some sort of minimal fee paid for everything. I would only do that if I saw some sort of interest though from this site and others, so let me know what any of you think about that. Otherwise, I am sorry to dissapoint any who were looking forward to it and I wish things could have been different.

Default New All That Book Finally on the way

It has taken a long time and I didn't think it would happen, but my new book which I have been working on with Alisa Reyes, All That About All That, should finally be available next week. Booklocker.com will be the actual site, and I can come back later with more details, but I just wanted to let all you fans know it will finally be out. I hope many of you are interested enough in what happened behind the scenes to consider checking it out, and either way it was certainly a fun experience as a fan of the show to put it together. Anyway, I am just letting you guys know now so you can tell your friends and what not, I realize some might call this advertising but I think it's fair to say the fans would be interested in this no matter what so I hope it's ok I tell you about this. Feel free to ask me anything you want to about it, but the description which will end up on the site should suffice. Once again, I do just want to thank those of you who did write to me during this time and encourage me to keep on with it, it was for all of us fans that I was sort of motivated in the first place. Let me know what you think.

Just thought I'd update that Monday the book finally began being listed on booklocker.com. Thanks again for all your support, and I hope it answers all the questions I have ever seen and heard asked on here and other places online and so on, and for the ones it doesn't trust me, if I couldn't get the answer from the people I talked to I doubt anyone else will. Happy reading.
