ABC Family Gets Everwood Off-Net Rights
Anthony Crupi SEPTEMBER 21, 2005 - ABC Family has snapped up the off-net rights to The WB’s family drama Everwood. The multi-year pact with Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution will see Everwood make its cable bow in fall 2006. Also included in the licensing deal is a slate of movies from Warner Bros. that includes Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Practical Magic and Scooby-Doo. Financials were not disclosed. Everwood is being positioned as a tentpole series for ABC Family, which has enjoyed success with similar off-net franchises like Gilmore Girls and Wildfire. |

It's to bad the CW couldn't see it as a tentpole series. It'll be good to at least know its in syndication this fall.

Yep. The best 86 episodes on The WB in a long time. I'm gonna record Seasons 2-4 on ABCFAMILY, since they aren't on DVD.
Oh, and sorry for saying "Everood" and not Everwood in the thread. Is there a way to fix that? |

Yeah, I remember reading about this last fall.
![]() At least this is one consolation to Everwood's cancellation. We still have an outlet to watch the show in re-runs, at least. I'll certainly be taping seasons 2-4. |

I'm told it's gonna be on weeknights at 6:00pm, between "Gilmore Girls" and "7th Heaven." And there's also a possibility of it being on in the morning/early afternoon. Let's go Everwood. I hope ABCFAMILY treats it right.

That's good news. Get rid of one of those damn 7th Heaven reruns and put Everwood on after Gilmore Girls.

But then where will Smallville go? Would they put a show with that much violence in the daytime? I don't know.. I know the WB does it on Saturdays. But they should just move 7th Heaven to 4pm.
