Default Anyone Know Quinncy407 ???

This is the second time this guy has emailed me regarding a post I have only placed on this forum. Both times he responded to what I was requesting and then offered to sell to me for $35 per tape or dvd.

I politely (or maybe not so politely) told him where he should start storing his $35 tapes. I guess it does not violate the rules here if someone tries to sell off board but I think his attempts are not only outrageous but insulting to anyone who has traded for any given time.

Quincy obviously you either read the posts here or are a member, go peddle your $35 tapes to some one else. I do have the IP addy if the mods want to check, I am sure he has approached other members.

Yeah I have also been contacted by him a few times regarding some of my want posts. He offers me the same ridiculous $35.00 per tape/dvd deal, and REFUSES to trade- he just sells. It would have ended up costing over 300 bucks had I agreed to it. I also declined obviously...

Default the guy has a lot of rare stuff

he honestly does

BUTTTTT he would sell a whole lot more vhs tapes if he were more reasonable on price

i mean i might be willing to pay $20 a tape or more for a GOOD DEAL on some rare stuff, but $35-50 per 1 vhs tape is pretty steep

Default doesnt matter to me

because its not my business

BUTTTT i would think

if someone ONLY wanted to sell and not trade

wouldnt it be better to sell 100 vhs tapes for $20-25 each and have a happy customer????
than to charge $35-50 each and sell only a handful????
b/c i know MOST of the people here would NEVER pay $35-50 for a vhs tape

BUTTTTT i bet if he charged a FAIR PRICE

a bunch of folks would buy from him

just me thinking............

I think even $20 per tape is ridiculous, I understand that some people sell (god I had to buy early cause I had nothing to trade) but to try and fleece people to that exent is offensive. Plus I really do not think he should be replying to a trade request and then after finds out you are interested tries to get your first born and grandkids.

I am sure he is harmless but he really pissed me off as I thought it was someone replying to trade. Paying $350 for one season of a show, on VHS no less??

Quincy you can keep your damn tapes

Default reply been there done that and got the tape

hi, i have purchased from him and yes i paid the $35.00 per tape. what i purchased was rare and i couldn't find it anywhere else. i purchased a couple of very rare eps he had of some shows i had been looking for. it took a little while to get them, but not anymore that some trades do. i was completely satisfied. he does trade at times, but very rarely. i agree with the statement that he would sell more if he lowered his prices. with the rare stuff he has, he could do dvds for $5-10 a pop and do fairly well. i guess since he does tapes, he charges what he charges because of the wear on the tapes every time he copies on. just my 2 cents. thanks

He'll go down to $25 if you play hardball. He will trade if you have something he really wants.

Quincy offered me some shows for $45.00 per 2 hour VHS tapes... 7.0 quality.. I had to pass, and got what I needed for trade, better quality, more episodes from someone else...
