I watched a few DVD episodes:

That '70s Pilot
Eric's Birthday
The Keg
That Disco Episode

Then I watched FX's hour before the finale. Which were two season six episodes. My sister and I watched the finale together. usually, she's in her room and I'm in mine.

Now the finale's over and I've got some season two episodes on in the background. Right now it's the episode where Kelso has the "Fonzie" jacket.

That's cool. I love 70s music. I have a bunch of "Best of the 70s" collections. "Hello, It's Me" has been one of my favorite songs for years now. Before I ever saw it on the Pilot of That '70s Show. However, now I identify that song with this show.

That's a great song. I've been hearing it on the radio alot the past several months and it always reminds me of the pilot episode. Another song I like by Todd Rundgren is "I Saw the Light". They play that in the pilot as well. They've been playing that one a lot lately on the radio and it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine, I'm thinking about getting the best of Todd Rundgren cd.

I love "I Saw the Light"! Those two were my favorite Todd Rundgren songs. I did buy a CD of his, but those are the only two I really like. Well from that CD anyways. I kind of like "We Gotta Get You A Woman" which is played briefly in a season four episode. The one where Fez throws the party for Hyde to get a girlfriend, I believe.

I like "I Saw the Light" a little more than "Hello, It's Me" but I get "Hello, It's Me" in my head more often.

The only song of his that I've heard that I don't care for is "Bang on the Drum". Yeah, that was a great episode. I've never heard the entire song though. I noticed that they substituted some of the original music for generic music on the season 4 set. I don't have the first 3 seasons yet, but did they use generic music on those sets too?

I never watch the episodes I have on DVD on TV. So I don't know if music has been replaced or not. I'd imagine some has. I get too attatched to music in scenes of shows, that when DVDs release the episodes with different music, it breaks my heart. Seasons 1-3 I had seen for the first time on DVD.

The radio station I listen to, for years, would play "Bang the Drum" every Friday. After years, they got sick of it. And recently stopped. However, now and then, they play it for old time's sake. What surprised me was when I found out Todd Rundgren did the music for Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

Me too. That's why I haven't bought any of the Quantum Leap season sets. I know they replaced a lot of music on those dvds and the music was a very important part of the show. I guess it's not a big deal, at least to me, if they use generic music on the That 70's Show season sets cause I've seen almost every single episode and I can only name about a dozen or so songs that were played in the episodes.

Wow, I never knew that. I used to love that show when I was a kid.

Yeah, them replacing "Georgia on my Mind" in the season two finale of Quantum Leap really ticks me off. When I hear that song, I think of that scene. I have not been able to enjoy my QL DVDs. They repeat that scene in the final episode, so I'll assume they replace it then too. I notice they also replaced "Call Me" from Blondie on my favorite season two episode. The one where Sam's a mom and the oldest son on "Blossom" played his/her son.

I heard a lot of people were pissed off about that too. I taped all the episodes of QL on sci fi a few years back and I'm pretty sure that all of the original music is intact. You would think that since they use generic music on the season sets, they would use it in the reruns as well. I never really understood that music rights thing for the tv dvds, you hardly ever see movies being released on dvd with generic music.
