The problem that Jimmy Walker had with the J.J character - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

His problem didn't have anything to do with the GOOFINESS and The BLUE HAT like it should have, his problem was mainly with the way the J.J character dressed. He felt that the J.J character was dressed like a CHILD and not like someone who was a grown man which is why you saw the sudden disapperance of the turtle neck sweater at the start of season 4. His criticisms played a part in the maturing of the character in season 4. Anyone surprised?-LOL

Why would he have a problem with the goofiness? It was making him millions.

He could have said-"Hey Alan, can you tone down the silliness of the J.J character a little like saying dynomite less and remove he blue hat.

Well if he didn't know to be funny without Looking and Acting crazy then he should have never decided to do a sitcom-lol

He was a stand up comedian, not a professional actor. What did he know? Besides, who is going to turn down work?

I'm just surprised that the way the J.J character dressed was the only thing that bothered him.

JJ (it was his mannerisms) NOT, the way he dressed, that made him look like a complete goof ball; dressed in a three, pieced suit (with a tie) and people would STILL point and laugh.

He said the J.J dressed like a child but if the character was still going to ACT like a Child then why change the wardrobe?-LOL

He was right though, his multi-colored shirts and hats were more suited to his personality and the fact that he was supposed to be an artist.
