Oh No Everwood's Swan Song

Everwood will not be back next Season. Atleast there's a Series Finale episode that will wrap everythng up. I am so pissed that Everwood won't be on The CW this Fall, and One Tree Hill will be. Well, it's been a fantastic ride these last 4 years. Hopefully we will get the remaining 3 Seasons on DVD, or Everwood will one day be in Syndication. These have been the best 89 Episodes anyone could ever ask for. We'll miss you Dr. Brown, Ephram, Amy, Bright, Hannah, and everyone from the Everwood Family.

This is totally effed up!! They renew 7th Heaven, which I believe they have beaten to death, but they don't renew Everwood--one of the best written dramas on television???
When I heard the news yesterday, I just wanted to cry. I LOVE this show.
No offense to any 7th fans of course, but Everwood had so much more life in it! So many more stories to tell! 7th Heaven has had its run!

WE LOVE YOU EVERWOOD!

I'll never understand this decision.

Everwood is pretty much the only drama currently in production that I watched religiously. Every Monday (and Thursday for awhile this season), I always set aside time to watch Everwood. And if I couldn't watch it, I taped it. It's been a favorite of mine ever since the first episode, and now I am in disbelief that such a wonderfully written show has been cancelled. It just doesn't make sense.

I feel bad for the cast, who made this show what it is. They deserved much better. I'll miss the interaction between Andy and Harold ... they provided some of the funniest moments for me. Gosh, each character brought something special to the show, that it's hard to describe each one and their importance, because they were all important. I oftened described this show as being much like a roller coaster, in that it had it's high monents, then low moments, almost that suddenly. It was really that great.

The show had a lot of life left to it and now it's going to abruptly end. At least we should be given an appropriate finale (with an alternate ending already taped in case it did get cancelled). I am hoping for a miracle in that at least it'll come back as a mid-season replacement or another network picks it up, but I'm not holding my breath.

The WB killed it. They moved it to Thursday and they lost half the audience. Then they took it off for months..so long in fact the final is going to air in June. I can't believe they canceled it and renewed OTH, a show with worst ratings than Everwood. hno:

I'm crushed. I will miss this show so much. It was so smart, so sweet, so real and so wonderful. I hope we at least get more DVDs.

It is the height of irony that 7th Heaven was renewed after it aired it's series finale.

Not for nothing, but the entire nation had to endure weeks of promos stating that the friggin Camden family would be gone forever, and now after i wore out a perfectly good pair of loafers doing a happy dance after the final episode, they're coming back. Not cool.

There's not take back on prime time TV! You leave, and that's it.

Anyway, Everwood was a great show, yet it never seemed to catch on. Too bad. I will miss it.

That sucks. The CW would rather air reruns of ANTM in primetime than have a great drama like Everwood on it's schedule and I guess that says it all about the state of television today.

Everwood gets better ratings than OTH. Makes no sense to me.

I am pissed beyond words. You guys know how big an Everwood fan I am. It's a sad sad day when Everwood gets passed over for 7th Heaven.

The CW should just have one airing of that aweful Top Model on Sundays with their other shows, and kept Everwood on. Everwood and One Tree Hill on Wednesdays would have been great. I hate that they air Top Model twice. UGH!!!

I still don't understand why they couldn't have it on as a backup show. They were also deadset on Pairing Veronica Mars with Gilmore Girls but VM has never been a ratings winner. What happens if it gets the same ratings as Pepper Dennis gets?

I think it deserves to be a mid-seaon replacement at the minimum. I mean, it had better ratings that both "One Tree Hill" and "Veronica Mars." It has a very strong and loyal fan base. It has the potential to attract even more viewers with a WB/UPN combination. I just think it deserves a lot better treatment than it has gotten, and to see it end this way is very sad.
