Default What was Lamont's problem?

I don't get it, Grady reaped a benefit of getting two social security checks and Lamont seemed obsessed with Grady reporting it. It really wasn't any of his business.

Lamont was like an old biddy lady. He had a lot to say about everything. He was right about the SS checks because you can get in trouble by keeping an extra check when they make a mistake; but you are right, it was none of his business.

I believe that was an episode written for Fred and it would have been more of Lamon't business as they could've taken some property from the Sanford Empire to reclaim the benefits paid. What they could've took, I have no idea. Also, maybe Lamont feared he would be an accessory to the crime should Grady get busted.

Lamont was just trying to be honest and was genuinely concerned about Grady getting in trouble for keeping both checks. What I think really made Lamont mad was the fact that Grady, after telling Lamont he was just going to the bank to cash the checks and then do some grocery shopping, he and Otis took off for Las Vegas for a 24-hour gambling spree, leaving Lamont at home worried about where Grady was.

This episode was a classic, especially when Grady pretended he was sick when the S.S. employee showed up at the house!

Cool I quite agree about Lamont...

...Needing to mind his own damn business!
What Grady might have done as far as his own SSI checks were concerned, was GRADY'S biz. Not Lamont's. Period...

Maybe Lamont was getting back at Grady for screwing him over whenever Lamont brought a lady home.

Grady deserved to be gotten back at. Lamont's company was none of his business! Great point!

Yeah, but as much as Grady got into Lamont's business (as in not wanting him to have any female company) I thought it was only just that Grady get a taste of his own medicine. He actually pulled a gun on Lamont not once but twice. Fred would have given him one across the lips if he had found out about that.
