Default How long have you been a Gilligan fan?

How long have you been a "Gilligan's Island" fan? I've watched the show for a long time, ever since it was on Nick@Nite in 2000. How about you?

just about the same time as you. TBS showed a Gilligan's Island marathon during the Summer of 2000. They showed the movies during the marathon too. Then in September it came to Nick at Nite and I have been watching it ever since.

I discovered the show in reruns in the 1970's I was a big fan back then. I remember I used to watch Bob Denver's Saturday show Far Out Space Nuts back then too. I haven't watched the show in quite awhile but I still remember it as one of my favorite shows of my childhood...plus Mary Ann Rocked.

I have just seen the intro online. Its kind of weird looking to me-lol. I believe a few of the episodes are on a Best of Sid and Marty Kroft DVD.

It's hard to believe I've been watching GI for about 35 years. It came on every weekday afternoon at 3:30. I would get off the school bus, run into the house, fix a snack, and settle down in a chair just in time to hear the theme song start. Our CBS affiliate ran it in that same time slot continuously for years----if they showed "Gilligan the Goddess" on a Tuesday, you saw "Two on a Raft" on Wednesday, so I saw all of them about 20 times before I got out of the 5th grade.

ever since a local station started showing the reruns in the 70s on weekday afternoons. I used to watch it when it first aired on CBS in the 60s, but I don't remember that much of it.

I started watching GILLIGAN'S ISLAND in the early eighties, when it was still in
syndication. (During its original run in 1964, I watched MR. MAGOO. Yeah,
Jim Backus was opposite himself (on CBS and NBC)! Interesting coincidence.)

I watched it when I was very little in the early 80's. It was shown in the afternoons on local TV. There was just something about Gilligan that I really liked. I didn't see it again until I was 12 (the station kept switching it around different times, like really early in the morning). That was the episode "Home Sweet Hut". I did see "Gilligan vs. Gilligan" once when I was on vacation, but didn't get cable until I was 16 in 1993. That's when I watched all the episodes of GI again and Dobie Gillis.

I first watched it in the late '60s or early '70s. Can't remember the exact year.
