Default Known Brady Bloopers (Post Them All Here!)

Guys,

Here is a list of known Brady Bloopers. Feel free to add

************************************

1. Florence calls Peter "Chris" during the trampoline scene in "What Goes Up?"

2. Mike and Carol take Bobby to the Cartoon King Show in the convertable, but come back in the station wagon in "The Winner."

3. Jan's hair changes styles during the "House of Cards" contest in "54-40 And Fight."

4. Mike says the attic is too small for Greg to move into in "Our Son The Man," but Greg is able to move into the attic in "A Room At The Top."

5. Greg mistenly calls Jan "Eve" also in the trampoline scene in "What Goes Up?"

6. One of the kids (Marcia?) seems to mistakenly call Peter "Chris" when the kids are rehersing for the talent contest in "Amatur Night" when they are out in the garage.

7. The live tape recording made by Greg and Marcia for Peter in "The Private Ear" is NOT the same as what is played back.

(Robert Reed must of loved this! Reed: "What is this sh*t? How can we have a tape recording of what is said that is different than what is said? I want that scene redone!!!" Sherwood or Lloyd: "Bob, it's like two little words that are mixed up, so what? We can't redo it, Barry and Maureen have gone home and we don't have time to redo it. Who's gonna know?"

Reed: "Well, I'm gonna know!!!! This is the kind of unrealistic crap that is destroying this show!!!" )

Yes,

Corrected, and I agree about Marcia's (not Jan's as I had posted) bracelet.

Default QuarterBack Sneak

I have found a small little thing in the QuarterBack Sneak episode... Marcia says that Greg is a Half-Back, and of course Jerry Rogers is a QuarterBack....Well Jerry says that "he and Greg bumped heads in last years game" ..well thats impossible, because both guys play offense, and they would never be on the field at the same time....

No, not necessarily. Even large high schools back then, and smaller schools still today, often had to play athletes on both sides of the ball. And players generally were known by their offensive postions. And defensive positions often were still called by names of their offensive 'counterparts,' such as defensive halfback instead of cornerback, as in almost all levels of football today. Going further back, a defensive line usually had a center, guards, tackles and ends, and only by gradually lining them up differently did their position descriptive names change to linebackers, and 3 or 5 techniques-- but that's probably getting too far into the science of football .

When Peter lent his tape recorder to Greg and Marcia he told them to press <record> to use it but not to press <play>. But if they had pressed record it would have recorded over what he had on the tape.

It seems like whenever anyone ever presses play on a tape recorder on television it's always magically preset to the precise part they are looking for.

Not exactly a blooper, but it's always funny to me in part 3 of the Hawaii episodes, when the boys are tied up by Vincent Price, who is convinced they took the tabu idol from 'his' cave, and Price is looking evil menace and he gets right up beside Bobby's face, and Mike T. can't keep from smiling. That appears to be cut short, and it must be because he couldn't keep a straight face.

In the 'Personality Kid' episode (I think) Peter gets a call. In his close ups and the wide shots with Mie and Carol he is wearing a top. In the close ups of Mike and Carol where we see Peter pick up or put down the phone, as he leans into shot you can see that he is wearing a different coloured top.

In "To Move or Not to Move."

Carol, Alice, Greg, Marcia, and Peter are outside trying to find out where the strange sounds are coming from. Carol says, "Listen, the only things that are out here are four very vivid imaginations." She either miscounted or did not include herself!

Just a side not, nothing to do with bloopers... but I had the exact same tape recorder as a kid that Peter got as a gift from Mike and Carol in that episode... it was a Panasonic, very state-of-the-art for the early 70s.... and the tape that you can see in the close up shot of the recorder is the exact same 'Demonstration Tape" that came with my machine.

Back in those days, cassette player/recorders would ususally come with a "Demonstration Tape" so that you could see how the thing worked, assuming you didn't already have cassette tapes on hand prior to buying the machine. The Demo tapes would usually have an instrumental version of a hit song (in my case, I think it was "Walk Don't Run" which was already an instrumental in its original form), and Side Two would be blank so you could try out your recording skills.

I sitll have the Demo tape that I got with that player, but no longer have the player, of course. The Demo tapes gave you maybe 10-15 minutes of recording time per side.

I remember a blooper, but don't remember exactly which episode it was from...

This MIGHT have been from the episode in which Bobby tries to win a trophy on the TV Show, but I'm not sure...

Bobby comes home from the show and the house is dark... they come in the back way through the family room and kitchen... then, when the get to the living room, it's still dark... all of a sudden, two kids turn on a light and yell "surprise!".... then, the camera shows another part of the room, WHICH IS STILL DARK, even though the first light was turned on... someone turns on the light there and yells "Surprise!"... then they do it a third time, they show one or two of the other kids, STILL IN THE DARK, in another part of the SAME ROOM, turning on a light an yelling 'Surprise!'...

Shouldn't the room have lit up when the first light was turned on, which would have meant none of the other kids would have been still in the dark?

Anyone know which scene I'm talking about?
