McLean Stevenson on DDS before he freaked out?

It's on the internet that Conrad Bain star of Different Strokes had a bad, mysterious air about him (like all horror soap Dark Shadows actors) and this would cause Stevenson when the two worked together on Hello Larry to get traumatized and disfunctional. Watching McLean play Mike Nicholson alongside Doris Day is interesting as this is him before his life apparently went upside with trauma.Bet he wished he stayed lovely Doris's co-star and never met Bain, huh?

Probably, Matt, Stevenson wished he never met Bain. I wonder if he ever went to Doris Day and told her of the trauma he was suffering from knowing Bain.
