Default How did you learn abour the BIRDS & the BEES?

Did someone sit you down and talk to you? did you find out on your own?

I never had a parent tell me. My mom died when I was six, so my older sister (13 years older than me) was my guardian. My dad wasn't going to tell me. My sister never told me. She just basically told me what NOT to do. What NOT to let a guy do. Don't get hickies because people will think you are a slut. I learned from my best friend and my cousin. And even some info wasn't correct. I basically got my education in child development class in high school. Not to mention after meeting my boyfriend who I would end up marrying and divorcing.

I learned everything from the T.V and the internet because my mom sure as hell wouldn't tell me. I just got internet access in December 2004, so I learned most of it from watching T.V.

My mother attempted to explain it to me when I was 11, but I really learned everything that I know now from friends at school. I've always been a very sheltered child, LOL. I fact, I thought the "G-spot" was a club that older kids went to when I was 13.

I sort of just figured things out. I'm smart that way. I had two older sisters who had boyfriends. I never got "the talk" from either of my parents.

My parents never explained a thing to me; not even when my period started.
I don't want my dd's to grow up the same way; that's why I've been searching and buying books easy enough for them to understand the changes they'll go through.

Yeah, definitely didn't learn from my parents.....Mom was raising me solo, and, well...just...no. As for Dad, something to be remembered: I didn't see him at any point between the late eighties and 2005. So, yeah, TV, internet, and friends. Essentially, once I got to the curious age, when I'd, say, hear something from a friend, or on TV, I'd wind up cross-checking it with the internet. Of course, this was in the days before a lot of resources like Wikipedia, so....

My parents never told me about it. I just went up to them and told them I knew. That was after I took sex ed, of course.

By the way, I was 8 (3rd grade) and a friend was 10 when we both discovered this sex ed book in the school library. I must've read that book 10 times...it fascinated me. So, by the time I got to 6th grade and had an actual sex ed class, I already knew quite a bit. I am so glad I learned about it at an early age, so I knew what to do when I finally did it for the first time.

My parents never really told me. My mom tried to once but I got embarrased and didn't want to listen to her because by that point I had learned quite a bit from my friends who had older siblings.

I went outside and looked up in the trees. Nothing about it Irene!

Well actually no one has discussed it with me yet. My mom's wondering where I'm getting all my dirty jokes
