how many people here remember the short-lived sci-fi comedy on NBC called "QUARK"? It only aired for one season in, I beleive, 1978 on Friday nights as a replacment for the [U]DREADFUL SANFORD ARMS" (a spin-off of "SANFORD & SON" which lasted a total of 3 episodes-which tells you how bad it was). It stared Richard Benjamin as a guy named Adam Quark, who was the leader of an intergalatic garbage scow. I remember 3 of his crew members were Gene/Jean someone who had complete sets of both male and female chromosones. When he was a man, he was really "macho" and willing to "take on" anyone (sort of a futureistic outer space "Dirty Harry"), and when he was a woman, he/she was, how can I describe it? Let's see...sort of "femine, unwilling to fight or anything (you know, saying things like "OOO I broke a fingernail"!), two pretty, identical woman named Betty 1 and Betty 2, and one was a clone of the other one, but noone knew which was which, and they would sometimes argue with each other "I'm the clone"! "No, I'm the clone"!
And their leader was called "The Head" and he was just this big head! It was written by, or created by, Buck Henry, who was a writer for "GET SMART" so the series had some of the kind of humor that that show had. For instance, I remember 1 show where they were celebrating a Christmas-like holiday called "11"

When Howard Stern mentioned the site "Guess the Dictator or Sitcom character" I went immediately to it, to stump the game, and used Ficus and Gene/Jean --and I was the first on one, the second on the other!

I barely remember this show. I wish Sci Fi would show an episode as a goof.
