Default God, Thelma was lying abt all the people...

supposedly talking abt Flo's not crying. No one seemed to care, notice or talk abt it. They were enjoying the spread at the Evans' home and doing what every else does at a funeral, talking abt the person who died. She and Michael were the only ones who were noticing.

I really hate how the kids, mainly Thelma and Michael behaved. Why on earth do they expect Flo to cry in front of everybody? She cried when she got the news. I am sure she cried that evening in her bedroom. She surely cried her eyes out many times before the services and she will cry many times after all is done. When my sister lost her son in a car accident, she did all her crying at home, in private. After the services, she was very strong. to cry, only makes you feel like you can't function. No one needs to cry in front of anyone to prove your love for anyone who has died.

They were just upset. They lost their father and didn't understand why Florida was being so strong, when they weren't. Michael was very rude to the reverend and his wife though.

OH God, how i hated Michael being like that. and his statement was even dumb because if his father WAS THERE, then the reverend and his wife WOULDN'T BE THERE. Stupid Michael.

In Defense of Michael, they were not supposed to be to UPBEAT after his just lost his Dad. The only person they should have talked to was Florida. It wasn't a Birthday Party for them to say-"You sure are getting Big Michael"

lol

Nobody said upbeat...and i don't recall being RUDE as part of grieving for someone anyways. Michael and Thelma could have been feeling the way they did, and take it to their room. No one said they had to be there with the guests, although it is a nice gesture to be with the people who have come to give their condolences.

Besides, Thelma was lying abt the people "noticing" Flo not crying. That was her stupid imagination. They may have looked at Flo and said "Look how well she is holding up".

Yeah, Micheal was rather rude. I can understand perfectly how a child would be upset, but all he had to do was excuse himself and go into the room. That rude comment was unneccesary.

I have heard all kinds of things being said before, during and after a funeral. It was a compliment. Nothing else.

How should he have approached him? He was just complimenting him, not questioning him on how he was going to get by.

Michael is not at all mature if he let some compliment get to him and SNAPPED. Ok, so be it, like Brian said, he could've excused himself and gone to the room.
