Default Weezy was left off of this week's Jet magazine list....

....honoring black moms for mother's day! They got Julia Baker, Florida Evans, Eloise Curtis, Mabel Thomas, Clair Huxtable, Mary Jenkins, and for crying out loud....the mother form Everybody Hates Chris! Jet messed up big time with that one, leaving Weezy off of the black mothers list! I would have put the mother from the Parent 'Hood before I would have put Tichina Arnold's character in there.

I'm thinking because she was more of a wife than a MOTHER on the Jeffersons. Her one and only son was Grown unlike Mabel and Florida who had small children

Yeah, I thought of that too, more of a wife, because Lionel was grown. But still, she naturally was a mother. They could have put her in there anyway. Solomon, did you see this week's issue?

I saw that Jet today and I'm writing Jet Magazine about this because it makes no sense that they have the mother from That's My Mama and the mother from What's Whappening but not Wezzie Jefferson who played that character for 14 years vs Mabel's 2 years and Eloise Curtis year and a half. Unbelievable

I didn't mind those two, they should have been in there. What bugged me out was that they put Tichina Arnold's character from "Everybody Hates Chris" That show is not great yet, and it will probably never be a classic. Harriet Winslow and Suzzane Douglass should have been there before her.

Dam that's a dumb statement. 3 of the Black mothers who were on the list are also dead which are

The Mother from Good Times
The Mother from What's Happening
The Mother from That's My Mama

WTF? Three other mothers on that list are dead as well. That's a lame and cold excuse.

Dag...I'm glad you all felt what I felt...cause when I first looked at the title of the article....Weezy automatically popped into my mind....and I was quickly disappointed like the rest of you because she wasn't featured on it.......
