Question Got anything you'd like to brag about??

Has anyone here achieved or accomplished any goals lately, that they'd like to share with someone. I guess this could actually be called the Ego Thread. LOL!! Anyway, I did a couple things recently that I'm kind of proud of. On Monday night, I went bowling, and scored a 155 game. Considering the fact that Iv'e only bowled 7 or 8 times in my life, I was pretty proud of that. I guaranteed my roomates before I left, that I would beat my old record of 102, by getting atleast 130, and in one of the games, I actually did end with exactly 130. I don't know, I think besting my old high by 28, and 53 points in the same night, is something to be somewhat proud of.

The only other thing I can think of that I did recently, and am proud of, is the redecorating I did in my room. For a long time, my room looked so dull and boring, but I had a neighbor who moved to Texas recently, and he gave me a bunch of his stuff. Good stuff too, and I used it to make my room look much nicer, and more lively. I'm not done yet, but I'm liking what Iv'e done so far, and am looking forward to seeing the end result. I might even post up a picture or two when I'm done.

Anyway, I know my achievements aren't very big things, but hey, it's all Iv'e got right now. Anyway, what are some of your guys' more recent achievements??

I look and feel amazing (my waist is tiny..only 23 iches). I accomplished this goal, after being fed up on being a blob, and decided to exercise; a year later, I am thin, trim, (with a flat stomach and toned legs). I walk anywhere from 5 to 7 miles a day (five days a week) and I also stay away from cosuming a lot of sugar (like candy and sodas), also I stay away from fast food, but I do not diet. (I do eat a lot, and I mean "a lot"), but I stay in shape by excerising (walking, like I mentioned, or dancing on the weekends).
That's awesome Tara, I'm so proud of you!!! I know from experience that losing weight can be a very tough thing, but it's obvious that you have taken control of your body, and are doing all the right things!! Hopefully, I can get myself as motivated as you are!!

I quit drinking soda more than a year ago, and am glad I did it. I still have a can of soda if the opportunity presents itself (birthdays, etc), which is once in a blue moon...The last time I had a soda was in February, and I want to see if I can go through the rest of the summer without picking up a can of soda.

I have learned to hate soda now, and I don't know why I was still drinking soda until last year. It's fine with me if people want to continue to rot their teeth by drinking soda, and have to get dentures before they turn 50.

Yeah I stopped that too. We had pop (er...soda) in our van at the Sox game this weekend and it wasn't even remotely appealing.

Last night we had senior awards night. I got a bunch of awards, plus a $500 (it was $1000 but they split it...) scholarship for journalism.

You don't know how hard it is for me to say soda. It feels so wrong to not say pop.

I will NEVER refer to it as soda...it's going to be "pop" for me until the day I die! I don't care where I live, what they say there or how I sound saying it.

Besides, you're from Chicago, too...so you and I both know that in reality, anybody who calls it "soda" is dead WRONG, and society is just humoring them so they don't feel so bad.

This winter I was able to pay for food and rent with poker winnings. I consistently come out ahead whenever I play live games, mostly tournaments.

I put on 10 pounds of muscle to my 6'3" frame. Speaking of bowling, I bowled a 279. Stupid 7 pin in the 9th.

Awwww.... I really wanna brag about something, but I think it's a tough period right now to brag about it. So, I'll have to hold off on it for now.

I had no idea my saying "soda" in my first post would spark such a debate.

I have nothing to brag about.

And I still drink pop and I don't care. My dad has drank more pop in his life that I'll ever manage to down, and he doesn't have dentures or diabetes or any other crap. And I don't drink alcohol and don't care what anyone thinks about that either.
